I still use my old Hori Commander Xbox controller because I prefer it for fighting games since its like a combination of the SNES Controller and Xbox. And played SF2A on NES and SF4U on xbox. My hands are at home but...idk what to do get for a new better dpad..
Gambit is great, rip and tearing production has increased greatly. Still have the issue about audio switching (restarting the controller fixes the issue). Paired this controller up with a RiG 500 with dolby atmos, the sound is great. The in console settings from Vecrtex are in depth and allow recalibration of the sticks for drift, triggers for hang. Also you can test all functions on the controller for inputs. You also update the controller's firmware through this app in console and pc.
Thanks for putting so much detail into reviewing the dpad and analog stick. Those are my #1 issues when it come to controllers these days. For future reviews of these sort of pro controllers, could you maybe show off how much customizability the config software allows? Specifically I'm interested if they allow you to disable the stick buttons (L3/R3 on playstation). Similar to your issue with pressing the back paddles when you don't mean to, I dislike accidently pressing a button when I'm just trying to move around (usually happens when I'm panicked). High end controllers often let you remap it, especially if there's back paddles, but weirdly sometimes don't let you disable it outright which is frustrating.
It looks like a nice controller. Personally, I like the DS4 dpad and would like to see a Playstation version with a focus on the dpad, but that might cater to a smaller audience than they would like.
@@VEXF0R Modded my Obisidan to a hitbox, but it's just not clicking for me. Everything just feels quicker on a dpad, but having a six button layout can be nice sometimes.

overclocked DS4/DS5 controller is unmatched in term of responsiveness. However xbox or other 3rd party controller is better than everything else. It's so hard to find the perfect pad.. :(
It would be nice if there were easier ways for pad players to use the same pad on all platforms that they play fighting games on, so if they play Guilty Gear Strive on PC with an Xbox controller for example, they don't have to borrow a dualshock when they go to a tournament, which is inconvenient and can potentially mess with muscle memory. Also, loving the Initial D t-shirt. I just recently finished that series and I absolutely loved it.
The best part of what I'm saying and speculating is that the PlayStation company has believed in the past that the idea I'm talking about now which is the Playstation phone was a great idea in the past tense them making the Sony X pure phone that's what they called it get free Playstation One games I think honestly it was just ahead of his time but if I would have known about this cell phone I would have bought it 100% without thinking twice I just didn't even know about it because as far as I'm concerned I think I could have been playing Mortal Kombat 2 on there and I would have been good enough for me at the time LOL their Brilliance was just ahead of the technology and what it could do at the time but now I think the Brilliance and the technology can finally meet eye-to-eye and really be something spectacular for instance the steam deck which is the valve company I believe you know if they can afford to do it and they have way less money than PlayStation company then I know for a fact PlayStation can do it and hopefully all the true Gamers out there supported and know about it and really do enjoy it and like it I know it's going to be an amazing product because everything PlayStation does
Realistically I don’t really get the point of these “pro gaming” controllers cause they’re marketed for fps’s and a mouse is gonna give you far more accuracy than a controller. Plus you can already use a mouse and keyboard on an Xbox. Idk maybe it’s marketed towards children that think they’re good at cod or something
Not necessarily. People have controller preferences just like fighting games. Some might say a hitbox is better for fighting games, so why would anyone use anything else? The answer is people are better on what they are most comfortable playing. A mouse/keyboard combo could be more optimal, but if they are not comfortable playing with it, none of that matters. That's why there is a market for these. Some people just prefer controllers even for FPS games.
@@정병화-w3w The only thing it would help with fifa is the faster inputs, Wouldnt see using paddles for fifa, Its a nice controller for the price and your getting features from more expensive controllers for a more affordable price, I now use it for every game I play, shooters, monster hunter, survival games, some sports games. Its been great so far… only had it two weeks tho

Fifa is more about timing rather than precision and speed,you don’t need pin point accuracy to pass or shoot,skill moves won’t pull off any faster or smoother than normal. The accessories/added features also don’t make a difference in a game like fifa. I use a standard controller for fifa,always qualifying rank 1 or 2 every weekend on fut champs. However if you play a game like call of duty which requires speed and precision,it definitely gives you a good edge on people against normal controller users. It feels responsive, I have 0 stick drift when I set it to 0 deadzone which is crazy and it’s a month old controller now,back paddles are easy/quick to use and the taller analog stick is a must have for me in shooter games now. For people going pro or just care about getting the best possible preformance out of themselves it’s definitely worth it. For casuals or people who player different games like fifa it won’t make a difference. Hope this helps.
I am a huge controller collector in which I own almost all major elite controllers as well as all fighting pads. I understood you are very picky in terms of dpad and you do not like victrix gambit's dpad. However, I have a complete different opinion towards this dpad. I felt victrix gambit has one of the best dpad for fighting games that I've used. I am glad I got my hands on this controller.
I haven't played a lot of fighting games but used to play tekken when I mained playstation and you've just taught me why I can't play tekken as well on Xbox. So thanks for that and for your clear and intelligent narrative! My favourite pvp fps is playable at 80 to 120hz on Series x but has an online tick rate of 30hz so the speed difference should mean even less there. But I have gigantic hands and will buy this because it has paddles but also because with the rubber faceplate it will be only the second controller that will retain playbudz on the grips. (Power A have a satin finish that grips playbudz but I have to glue them on to all other brands so far) Edit:Yep playbudz stay on the grips when using the purple plate. Nice.
Did you hear that recently PlayStation has been thinking about making another handheld hopefully if the Playstation phone I've been speculating that this is the move that date that they should make as a company I think it's the right move in fact there's really nothing in the cell phone market like it where it's a cellphone / gaming console obviously with a built-in controller hopefully it's not one that slides out like the PSP Go LOL I was picturing it being like their last handheld honestly which had amazing battery life I'm not against the controller sliding out from underneath in any way shape or form but I just hope that it has the left and right trigger buttons wish the last PlayStation handheld black and the ability to push the analog sticks in as a button press for example sprinting and games like Call of Duty or Gears of War where you have to Sprint holding the analog stick clicked in and also hopefully it has that 3.5 mm headphone jack which we all love and an SD card with an expandable storage hopefully it's pretty damn good maybe one or two terabytes would be awesome that way people can have tons of games on there but in all honesty after playing the last PlayStation handheld recently I feel like it is the perfect size for a handheld I don't think it could be any bigger without me really being like why is it so goddamn big for any smaller cuz I would feel like this is not a cell phone in this day and age LOL but hopefully it is the Playstation phone

I really like the powerA enhanced pro controller for the switch. The dpad and face buttons are firm and tactile. The back buttons are convenient too and can be remapped on the fly. I just wish there was an offering from them with a cup style dpad. Motion inputs on regular dpads hurt really quickly for me.
I have that controller. I found that it was super inconsistent when it came to executing QCFs, which is why I gave up on it and bought an Xbox Series X controller instead.
It is weird that they are focused on dolby sound in a tournament controller but its the only reason I still have the controller instead of buying a wolverine again for more money. Wolverine controller is better but I have to plug my headset into my computer instead of the controller which is just annoying.

The controller works really good for FPS games. Question for those who have braved playing BF2042 or even BFV. I play both on the series X. Does the Victrix controller randomly turn right and pan up to the sky? Trying to see if others have this issue and if its a software bug. Only happens in Battlefield games. Works fine in Halo and Apex and I have tested it on the gamepad-tester site and it has no stick drift issues at all.
The moment I see the design of this controller and that it is positioned as a fighting pad, I lose all respect for this company. Obviously zero care and knowledge on what makes a fight pad good.

Christ, this dudes hard-on for the ps4 controller is insane. I wasn't sure what he meant about the buttons having resistance on the right side, the entire controller is snappy, not just the triggers. I do agree with his points on the controller though IF you get this controller thinking it's great for fighting games. Any core xbox gamer will tell you that an arcade stick is needed for most arcade fighting games. But this controller was designed for esports fps games. So it's like buying an elite v2 controller and whining that it doesn't have adaptive controller settings. I mean victrix has an arcade fighting stick. Just review that one, damn.

The main presenter was a fighting gamer who explained how they might use it in a fighting game like Mortal Kombat and the examples they used were from SFV showing how players benefit from the reduced input latency in normal attack trade situations.
I personally have been here on UA-cam spreading rumors of this being true the Playstation phone even though honestly I don't even know if it's going to happen lol but I've been saying it on random channels in hopes that it spreads you know enough people talking about it that they see that maybe there is a True Value to this all the people that really have gaming consoles in their household really have cell phones so why not just combine two since you're already going to bring your cell phone with you and most people love things like callofdutymobile and Candy Crush and stuff like that which is pretty awesome I know I'm going to be doing a lot of that hopefully I'll run into you out there on the on the net LOL but hopefully the Playstation phone which is what I'm calling it currently LOL hopefully I can play all the modern fighting games that are out like text 7 Street Fighter 5 with other one and Mortal Kombat 11 hopefully it has like steam deck steamdot quality Graphics are better I know PlayStation could go over the top with it I will gladly pay well over $1,000 for this phone maybe even closer to LOL hopefully it's over-the-top like specs maxed out amazing camera on the cell phone amazing sound quality maybe multiple speakers on there kickstands on it so that you know if you play with a friend you can prop your phone up like the Nintendo switch and have a stand-up so friendly sprinkler controller I can play on on the smaller cell phone screen and see if you're on the train or something

I personally have been here on UA-cam spreading rumors of this being true the Playstation phone even though honestly I don't even know if it's going to happen lol but I've been saying it on random channels in hopes that it spreads you know enough people talking about it that they see that maybe there is a True Value to this all the people that really have gaming consoles in their household really have cell phones so why not just combine two since you're already going to bring your cell phone with you and most people love things like callofdutymobile and Candy Crush and stuff like that which is pretty awesome I know I'm going to be doing a lot of that hopefully I'll run into you out there on the on the net LOL but hopefully the Playstation phone which is what I'm calling it currently LOL hopefully I can play all the modern fighting games that are out like text 7 Street Fighter 5 with other one and Mortal Kombat 11 hopefully it has like steam deck steamdot quality Graphics are better I know PlayStation could go over the top with it I will gladly pay well over $1,000 for this phone maybe even closer to LOL hopefully it's over-the-top like specs maxed out amazing camera on the cell phone amazing sound quality maybe multiple speakers on there kickstands on it so that you know if you play with a friend you can prop your phone up like the Nintendo switch and have a stand-up so friendly sprinkler controller I can play on on the smaller cell phone screen and see if you're on the train or something
