AN UNSTOPPABLE woman with a brittle bone condition has embarked on an intense workout regime, despite having broken literally hundreds of bones in her life. 22-year-old Jasmine Manuel has Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type 3 - a severe form of the brittle bone disorder that leaves Jasmine’s bones highly susceptible to fractures, and causes her to be much shorter than average. Aside from the short stature and fragile bones, the condition also causes severe scoliosis, and Jasmine has to use a power chair to get around. But the Kennesaw State University student, who also produces music under the pseudonym ‘Mini Producer’, hasn’t let that stop her from becoming a fitness fanatic and advocate for disabled fitness. 1. I’m not a fitness expert, I’m someone who works out that happens to have a physical disorder. I respect the job of someone who actually has the knowledge to train someone how to workout. I would only go as far to say I’ve helped out someone else that was in a chair considering the resources for that have been slim, but that’s no different than working out with friends. I’m out here doing my thing and having a fun time. Also, this is for those who are able to take something positive away from this 😊

I absolutely love that Jasmine isn’t afraid to push herself and get out there and live life instead of hiding in fear. That is absolutely amazing.
We have a man at our CrossFit gym who lost his legs as a teenager, and he is so inspiring. He is there everyday doing adaptive workouts and just killing it! Just like Jasmine!
Some guys have all the luck. I was born with glass bones and paper skin. Every morning I break my legs, and every afternoon I break my arms. At night, I lie awake in agony until my heart attacks put me to sleep.

This is the 2nd differently abled person I’ve seen working out despite serious pain. I feel unworthy because I do make my medical condition an excuse. Aside from that: I’m thinking that intense muscle building would be a great thing to get young Osteogensis Imperfecta (& hyperplasia) sufferers into because surely the stronger your muscles, the more support your bones (& joints) have. Even if it only reduced the severity of bone breaks so they don’t need as much surgery, it would be a game changer!

I’m also disabled and have done the shitty bones thing, though thankfully I only have one bone that’s an asshole (right femur), and I cope with extreme pain every day from a neurological disorder. And people are always shocked that I can laugh about things and stay positive. My thought is what other choice is there? We aren’t strong for what we do, we’re normal people who are trying to get as much enjoyment out of life that we can. The only other option is to stay home and be sad all the time, and frankly, that sucks. I’d rather go do something cool and live with the pain later than give up on life. I’m a designer and I will never stop creating, even if I can’t work anymore. In fact, I’m typing this as I take a break from totally redoing a pair of lamps. 😋

I support, but I don't get the AMOUNT of people that have some sort of disability OR have some unfortunate features on their body that keep trying to claim they are a model or fitness expert/body builder when all they do is a small little photoshoot or just lift weights like the rest of the general population...?
chiponbloc Hey I agree with your statement. I personally don’t claim to be anything, I’m just someone who happens to have a disability and works out. If you’re referring to the title it’s more for the shock value. Just to clear some misconceptions you or anyone might have about what I do or what my mission is.
I'm guessing ur the person in the video? It's not you personally, it's every video on this channel. Like every 1 with a problem or disable issue with their body as to prove something with fitness or modeling like they were 10/10 to begin with. Even normal or above average people doing just fine don't just go down those roads either. Just such a big claim to fame and shock titles are total BS for views.
