I had the Dealer install the hitch and wiring. The bumper cover as slightly misaligned with the side panel (sticks out slightly up by the taillight). It's inconvenient to drive there. Do you think I could align it with out taking the cover off? I'm thinking I could remove that black plastic cover off loosen those 2 hex bolts and possibly align it. It's only off by maybe 1/8th inch.
I installed it without removing the rear bumper. Took me about 2 hours to install everything (harness, hand free adapter, and the hitch).

I'm not sure why they want you to disconnect the negative off the battery?

This thing should come with a hitch at least mid trim and above
