Since this game is hilariously unfair with enhancement, some people are forced to use "noob traps" as it's impossible to get anything else.
Question is, with everything except Debos at dirt cheap prices, why are you even clicking?
Tungrad is much better progression step than Distos, before you enter the Debo nightmare. People were going for distos to get a little better AP for not that small DP cost. Now we get that (and more) AP from Tungrad for real cheap and with no DP cost (and 2 of them are from Jetina) PLUS BSR - and that's still worse than Distos? I don't get it..
I'm a newbie to BDO pvp and seems I may be the only one that sees full PEN Tungrad viable. The time and money I spend in BDO would allow me to get full PEN Debos in years, and PEN Tun is about the same as TET Debos, and the thing that I love is that I am self buffed with AP and AS for 60 sec almost nonstop because I use the 100%, not the 200%. Those cap limitations Quedya applues versus Tungrad also apply to Debos, Debos AP also get cap'ed Node Wars. What I love about full Tun most is the fact that I can self buff in grind spot pvp, that shit is priceless for me and it's uncap. Full PEN Tun is veeery cheap even cheaper than TET Debos. When I get full PEN Debos I'll ditch my PEN Tuns, but right now I am loving the perma self buff and now 12 AP too
Uh.... the time to get 100% bsr is the same with 100% bsr or 200% bsr cap my friend.

I Agree, for pve the goal now is 5 tung pen + 1 colar debo tet and grind to click safe. Considering that bs pens comes first
Agreed. I got five and have a pen narc/disto swap while I start the stupid debo neck grind that i may never finish lol. I was able to just trade my V Laytenn for a V tun neck bc I was watching the market closely and anticipated the set effect buff.

lemme explain, when i hit pen debo belt it cost me for 310ish b (11th attempt, all with hammer), i sold 2 pen bde and some armor parts to hit that pen debo, you know why? will of power and thinking about how many hours spent in crypt to farm those belts.
let's say i stop in some fails, not sold gear parts and left belt as tet, options for me; keep grinding for hammer/crons and base belts with disappointment so it'll make me angry to the game and demotivate to play, i'll keep calculating how many hours i need to grind for only goddarn 1 attempt. 27b, yep u could say silver is easy to get nowadays but it's easy to say, in good day you make 1-1.5b/hr in crypt or normally 1.5-2b in other endgame spots so minimum 13 hrs grind for 1 attempt.
let's say i have earrings, rings (worst part that u cant use hammer on rings so get ready to downgrade chains, makes things 2x worse) and neck tet debo instead of pen tung or distos, in this scenario i'll always have that feeling when i see TET accessoriez in inv "oh my gear is so poor and not even done, i have to make them tet, i need to hurry to make those misarables tet to pen" like mentality, it'll "push" you to grind like job and gonna bring you to borders of burnout. IV icons gonna always whisper you when you see IV icon instead of V "enhance me, enhance me"
but when u keep holding V tung you'll have that feeling "oh ok i don't need to enhance anything FOR NOW and i can grind whenever i want/enjoy, im in good ap cap like 309 or 316 and it's enough for not to hurry" that mentality will keep u away from burnout, roulette and gonna save your money and u can decide to buy or enhance pen debo while you have "full pen" feeling.
so not everyone rng carried like streamers or ambassadors and It's always easy to give advices for 760+ gs pure pve player.
i choose to live with healthy mental with my "noob trap trash tungrad rings" instead of iv debo that downgrade each fail and make me demoralise.
With the removal of kaia neck and chimera earring, I think tungrad acc will be viable replacement so that you can use 200bsr.
We are still waiting on the 200% skill rework for all classes. 🙃 PA shorter cd on 200% skills and juicy numbers 😏
I already ran tungrad because I like to use the 200% rage skills. It's just fun. And I also loved the super speed 200% buff.
But they didnt remove the ridiculous 30 minute cooldown of the skill (PvP is why we can't have nice things smh. There's no reason to not be able to use the skill as consistently as the 100% in PvE dangit) and now they nerfed the most fun thing about the buff itself... the speed.
I'm really pissed about that. Not to mention the rage increase of 30% still isnt enough for 5 tungs and a pen ogre. I now STILL need 1 artifact to get the 200%. I tapped the ogre myself and it was my first pen accessory ever. I don't want to part from it unless its for a pen debo >.<
Its incredible how good they are at disappointing people and half-assing things (life inventory... why not the gear? who in their right mind is going to gather on any character that doesnt have the mastery or exp gear on? you STILL need to swap! they half-ass things all the bloody time, its crazy. not to mention crop etc still arent shared. the only useful thing about this half update is that skins wont unequip from a rod anymore....)
I tried my best to explain it to people. For this patch it seems useless overall. not offering you spesific things that helps you. Hopefully people wont invest money for it and hope good stats etc.
@@Quendya yeah. Your explanation is on point. I'm annoyed that they nerfed one of the most fun things about it (the speed), because 'for fun' is the only real reason to run this over the other options you mentioned.
I was excited when I heard the set was going to be buffed. But reality is often disappointing...
Literally every content creator hates that set.
I have it, it's rly good. I'm going for PEN Debo set, but it cannot be done in a month so on my long way there I want that 200% BSR, self buff and juicy 12 Hidden AP.
What else should i be grinding with?
Double TET distos, pen crescents from jetina, PEN valtarra belt and PEN Laytenn is THE CHEAPEST route and it's only 11 TOTAL AP less than 5-piece PEN tungrad but going Tungrad route will cost you 120 BIL, yes 120 billion more... for 11 total AP...
Meanwhile if you go x2 tet disto, pen crescents, pen valta and pen layten you not only save 120bil but also get into TET Debos far sooner and once you replaced 3 pieces with TET Debo it's already literally the same total AP as going 5-piece PEN tungrad.
200%BSR is just nerfing youself. Why? Sure you gain +25 AP for 60 seconds over 100% BSR but you take TWICE the amount of time to reach 200%. While you use 200% BSR ONE time, I use 100% TWICE... see the problem?
So yeah 5-piece tungrad really kinda is a noob trap.
@@aowtweek5347nah the dp you lost also matters. Not everyone can have a perfect skill rotation so you can survive. Full tungrad is the same as having 2 tet disto and pen crescent. But you get bsr so it is better. Tungrad is cheap now too btw so you just grind another piece of tet disto for the price. It's not really a big deal

I haven't reached more than 100% before but I assume you could use 100% x 2 and you would never cap at 100%? or is there a cooldown to use the 100%? E.g, I'm at 180%, pop absorb to use 100%, I have 80% left, after I assume once my 100% buff drops off, I should have the next 100% ready to pop. Seems like it gives more flexibility to use when needed and you won't overcap on your BSR? Is that right?

I agree, a 5 set tungrad with a disto earring is a good progression goal or "soft cap" goal for those who cannot make it to debo, like you mentioned.
I created a test gear planner and as of right now, using the following example: 2 x disto + 2 x crescent guardian + ogre ring & basi belt vs 5 set tungrad + disto, the 2 x disto build comes out between 1-5 more AP (depending on mixed accessories - NOT debos). And currenlty about 20bil cheaper, in favour of the disto build.
However once we get the update, the tungrad 5 set - bonus 12 AP, a difference of 11-7 AP to the 2 x disto build, which is roughly 2-3bil per 1AP. Again changing up the accessories for the disto build to anything else besides debos, the tungrad seems to come out on top in terms of raw output. But you do sacrifice HP and other utility stats that gear like valtarra provides (as an example).
I guess the following build might be the way to go: By default, most players should get to the stage of 2 x base capotia earrings, 2 PEN crescent guardians, PEN capotia belt and necklace.
First upgrade: Tungrad ring, swap one of the pen cres to pen tung earring (replacing capotia earring). 45-50bil upgrade for 5AP (10bil per 1AP).
Second upgrade is the necklace, (or get your second ring + earring) both options give 5 AP for 45-50bil (10bil per 1AP). - Edit: Probably go for the cheapest at the time -
Third upgarde, if you went for the necklace, get the second ring and swap the PEN cres for your tung earring, completing your 5 set. If you went for the rings, get the necklace to complete the 5 set. This upgrade costs about 150bil for 15AP from accessories and the 12AP from the 5 set for a total of 27AP and you've reached 200% BSR for "more AP". That's about 6bil per 1AP. After that, I'd go for the tung belt and the disto as last, so you don't lose the 5 set bonus.
IF you do go for the disto anytime during the tungrad updgrades, instead of leaving it for last, you've lost effective silver per AP gains. Edit 2: also, saving the disto for last helps delay the -4DR. These are just my paper napkin maths and from what I've researched, I think tungrad is definitely the "softcap" or "goal" build to pursue.

@@aowtweek5347 I had tungrad belt and necklace before they announced the set effect so it was better for me to finish the Tungrad set.
Also, 200% BSR gives you 55 AP, not 25. Huge difference.

- TET Distos are shit nowadays. It's better to sell them and use Tungrad Earring with Narc earring than lose 8 DP for 2 more AP.

i believe that the tungrad's set would be slightly better than IV debo sets for certain zone like cyclops or highland. can't really think of other zones that can effectively utilize the 200 z buff. if you believe you would stay in these zone for a decade then V tungrad might be your way to go.
Is it just me or are we forgetting about the fun factor with Tungrad, You actually get to use your 200% BSR. Is it the best or most efficient? no. But isn't part of the reason we play the classes we do is the power fantasy?

Unless I am getting paid to play BDO I'm not enhancing a pen debo. Not wasting my hours on that. I'll wait till they're available, when yall minmaxers move on to yet-to-be-released orange accessories and dump them at min bid. Until then Tungrad and capped war all the way BB!
The ONLY reason to use tungrad set is IF they remove or at least reduce the 200% bsr skills cd to 5 min, AND IF the reworks turns out really good; like, 2 sec max cast time, full i-frame stun into kd type of good.
Otherwise it's useless.

Honestly I think it's just meant to be a decent stop gap to debo for players (new or more casual) who aren't as geared. If you already have debo or are capable of buying tet debos you obviously won't want these, but all of the pen tungrads (at least on asia) are considerably cheaper than any of the tet debos by a long shot. Once you get to the point you can buy/grind tet debos you can just sell the tungrads - and my experience in BDO has been that somehow there'll be a person that buys your junk no matter how worthless it seems- even tet liverto (I'm still trying to figure out why)

nobody needs that accuracy in pve, pvp you slap 2 elkarrs and an extra vipers if needed
i only use the Tungrad Set just for my headcannon lore tbh.
I want to enable my Drakania to transform into a full pledge dragon with her BSR 200%, by herself. I never release ANY 200% in my BDO life, and that kinda sucks and felt missing out not doing the coolest move during grind.
In my head, my Drakania is progressing more and more to become more dragon like as she discover her true power. She start looking like her default, but then she start to have dragon like eyes, she starts to have horns (ram witch horn), start to have more "inhuman" skin tone (purple red-ish). The next step naturally is for her to be able to become a full dragon.
Then i will grind for "Dragon King of the Sea" title.
Man... I lost billions and billions everytime they patch something. Seeing Rings at 40bil is months of effort gone for no reason.
That's the natural progression of the game.
Still its better than old tungrads... although it may not be an end game set.
It's definitely not end game but an alternative "soft cap" in order to reach an end game set.

Thats cant be a noob trap, of u use tungard for pve. Distos eats your armor, tungard u can get for free. Ofc, u need to check what will be cheaper for u, thats all)
actually it's useful even for pvp, as long as people can maintain 1270 eva with 305 ap on mystic succ as example (possible with tungrad rings) no need to rush for pen debos.
debos are bis but 2nd best accessories are tungrad (except earrings up to situations). high gs people loves to belittle old things and demoralise people when they got best items.

With the prices rn on EU, let’s say an average pen tungrad is 44 bill. 44* 4 is 176. Then add 11 from Jetina’s Tung earring, that’s 187bill for 5 pieces.
As for Debos, the belt and neck can be bought for 57-60 TET, and the earring is very cheap at 45-50 bill. Since the limbo drops from most end game spots, I predict that the rings will also decrease drastically in price (maybe 55-60). Add all that up and you have: around 265 for 5 TET debos. A 78 bill diff between the end game set and a “budget” build that will lose you tax money anyways is not worth. So I see that Debo is outright better. Some ppl could even tap the neck and belt to TET and could save some money here and there.
In my opinion, you could just got two disto + ogre/layten and a basi/valtarra.
You save a lot of money while also hitting brackets that you need for farming debos.
Soon you will notice that this video is wrong. Tungrads will be the new meta for lower end players. They finally finish with the debos now it’s time for the fallen weapons. Meaning each part of armor will have two sets that people will be going after tungrad then debos then black star then fallen weapons. This game is already coming to an end. Maybe 3 years max before it goes to shit and they will have to start from scratch or try to move all these existing players to there new game. There first thought was to push BDO to a 20 year franchise but technology is speeding to fast that they can’t keep up with it. We are involving at a speed of light.
Also there will be huge benefits with the 200pct BSR in grinding and all. Waiting 3-4 months till players start figuring things out like they did with valkyrie, berserk and archer. Grinding will be at speeds.

It adds more flexibility to builds and makes it less worth to rush tri debo set no matter what, you can get 2x tungrad earring from jetina along with some other tungrad accs and then swap earring to narcs later on. But definitely using 200% is totally useless for pve purpose. For pvp, situational - you must know what youre doing.

Debo is 100% the end all be all, I think everyone knows that. Before you are full Debo... You probably want full Tungrad.

Im doing it. Im going 2 ear rings, 2 rings and the belt with a Ogre for the neck and then start working on my debos.
For new node wars after removal of kaia and chimeras, with new 8k hp cap. This is new meta for capped wars.
8k is only for med/val; asuming most players doing those regions will be in the 700 gs zone, you can easily cap it anyways.

For PvE, Tungrad are grief. Just go with TET Debo.

Ive been there ehen there is no CD on 200% BSR.. and TBH yes its hard to pull a good 200%, but once u manage to pull it of.. it really turn the tide of battle..
On my honest opinion.. they should reduce the CD to 5 min or 10 min max.. so it wont be spamable.. but still noticeable if you vould pull it of..

Those who see the 'after' 200% bsr as a positive don't understand how good attack speed is. There is a reason Vell's only 16 bill and another Destruction stone is almost double...

Ngl, this setup is even useless for PvE... Also, considering how much TET debo costs and how much PEN Tungrad costs, there is no reason not to go straight to TET deboreka.
