Not really german shepherds bark and bite unlike the rottweiler who won't growls unless you're too into the territory the german shepherd will first warn.

Bro my Tibetan mastiffs barks too much at night. Natural instinct. In my village in Uttarakhand everybody keeps Tibetan mastiffs due to leopard and at night whole village is like a barking orchestra. But now we have become habitual of the sounds.

Any working dog....like Gsd requires a confident leadership......if your are not confident....and scared.... it'll know that.......don't get it....an unruly gsd is like having an ak47 in a noob's hand.......you just won't be able to manage it...and it might bite you back to assert its leadership..........
