Wow with those prices i think I’ll pass! There has to be something more affordable. Something that’s reasonable. Sounds like you have to already be rich to live a decent life there. How is Babylon more affordable than being on the continent? Maybe South America is where I should be heading
U have to be calculating in Ghana currency which is $12 and twenty-seven cents for every u.s. dollar
I won't to move to Africa but I don't won't to suffer! This has depressed me !
Is she quoting in Ghana cd’s or us currency. If she is quoting the prices in US currency, those prices are outrageous!
I'll pass. So, what I understand, we have to come to Ghana with a bag. Can we get instant citizenship like immigrants get in the U.S. Do they have immigrant programs for ppl coming into Ghana like the U.S. does? Again. I'll stay where my ancestors built.
Jason Derulo tips waiter $5K at a restaurant in "Nebraska".
Those are some outrageous prices ain’t no way I’m gonna leave an expensive US to go to a lesser expensive place, these must be some rich upper class areas!
Accra is expensive not the whole of Ghana. Kumasi and Takarodi is cheaper than Accra.
So....
What I'm to gather from this is that Ghana's cost-of-living - if you want to live somewhere with basic, modern world utilities - is comparable, if not in excess to, a major metropolis or burgeoning, affluent suburb in America?
Am I correct in this assessment?
Thank you in advance to whomever can answer.
Yes, sounds about right.
@@prettydevoted Thank you for your response, Sister - and, so I'm clear, allow me to ask you if I may:
Is your concurrence with my statement based off of you drawing the same conclusion as I, OR; is your concurrence based off of first-hand knowledge of what the cost-of-living consists of in Ghana?
(I've attempted to reach out to various people _building on The Continent_ in order to gather information; but so much of what one comes across is liken unto 'Travel Agency' pitches, instead of hard economic facts and analyses.)
Roughly 150k for me, I'll get right on it!
Was this video supposed to get people to want to move to Ghana? Because I'm confused lol
Facts I got excited so I clicked on the video and then she started saying all these cost and I was just like ain't no way people can just afford all that.
Madam, I love you but why are you talking on behalf of Ghana, we got Ghanaian content creators who are better placed.
❤️ 🇬🇭
Those rents she is mentioning are too expensive.
And don't forget to include the costs of the bribes you'll have to pay Ghanaian police as a Black American! Have fun
When we say dollars are talking about American dollars?
Hello. I am from America and I saw a brief Image of your Currency. 1). What kind is called in Ghana and do you know how to explain & compare it to The US Dollar? 2). Also as far as a Tour Guide do you have any recommendations?
Thank you!
1 dollar is currently 10 cedis estimate
@@frostnelly45 one U.S. dollar is $12.27 in Ghana's cedis ,. so if you got a $300.0 a month apartment it would cost u $24.45 in U.S dollars, but you have to keep in mind on how you are going to keep those U.S dollars rolling in, if you don't have any kind of income ,( social security , SSI widow's benefits , veterans benefits ) you might have to get a job making Ghana's currency , minimum wage is $14.88 cedis , not sure how that would work out for you
14.88
×. 8 hours a day
$119.04 a day
× 5 days
= $595.20
× 4 weeks in a month
= $ 2380.80
And that's if the work days and hours are the same as here in the U.S , if so :
No way in hell u can afford $2000-3000 dollar for a house or apartment in Ghana , you would be back in the ghettos
You were quoting the expenses in Dollars, but it should be Cedis; the Ghana currency!
Thanks
I feel like these prices are being exaggerated, I pay $1200 for a 1 bedroom in California, there’s no way the prices are the same in Ghana, plus usd to cedi is like 12 to 1 right now, please correct me if I’m wrong.
Great! How much does it cost to get dual citizenship in Ghana?
Less than a 100 bucks.

You would think Phil has a house there as much as he tells us to move to Africa.
Does this woman even know what she is talking about? Stop spreading nonsense about Ghana. Even the rent prices she is quoting are just out rageous
Foreigners need to stop allowing themselves to be scammed with these sorts of prices in Ghana. $2,000 a month on rent is ridiculous and paying $20,000 every terrm for a good Engllish or American curriculum teaching school is absolute madness.
This is so rideculous I cant stop laughing. Please. This seems one sided. Many US residents have moved and say they are paying much lower prices and live in nice communities and have drivers. Sista you need more clarity and other options. Who do you think you are talking to?
Someone really needs to tell this woman to be quiet. She is talking nonsense here. Please speak to other people who have moved to Ghana. Not Ondira as she clearly does not know what she is talking about. You can live in Ghana for far less than the prices she is quoting. Maybe she is working for the enemy and told to talk nonsense so that diaspora will not move to Ghana. Someone please remove this video
I am truly confused....
Truly. I have watched many videos concerning this topic and this is the first I've heard of such prices.
I, myself, live in an mid (70K-100K+) to upper-middle class (250K - 500K+) neighborhood in America, and these prices rival, if not exceed, what we pay in living expenses....
Can you provide some information resources whereby I can cross-check the info in this video?
Thank you.
I live in a nice neighborhood 3 bedroom 2 bath Living room dining area large kitchen and a den and I only pay 850 a month for rent. I live in a nice city Constant water light gas Internet and cell phone do not go out And you say a one bedroom will cost me a $1000 a month Are you giving me that extra price for so called Africa American?
None citizens should go "
You always exaggerate about a lot of prices. How many International schools in Ghana charge $60,000 for school fees?
60000 usd?
@2black4u 2black4u She's exaggerating. She's always like that about life in Ghana. It's expensive only if you get stuck in Accra and don't want to live like a Ghanaian
@@gb6041 ok
Is that $60k USD or Cedis for school fees?
INSANITY...
Soooo pretty much keep your butt at home … smh
It's not this expensive
Idk,but I'm not leaving My ancestral home like they want us to do
Good idea. Don't come to Africa because its for those who want to and not those who want to be without their ancestors.
All the best.
Dual citizenship hun… you can live anywhere just don’t limit yourself to one place
😳
I don’t know
You pay every year.. o wow ..
Hello sister
Paying again and again for permits.. what is THIS.. WHY DIDN'T AFRICA REQUIRE. EXPENSIVE PERMITS TO LOSE THERE IMPORTANT PEOPLE!TO SLAVERY! WHY CHARGE SO MUCH
Nah I'm good right here in america...I don't have any connection to africa
Africa still has a connection to you, and affects the way the rest of the world sees your color.
Really. You are a sellout. I am sure you would do to hispanic and asian countries
How is it looking for a job?
All so called "UA-camrs" should think twice before posting their dumb unfounded opinions on social media for all eyes to see, and all ears to hear... how wise or foolish they truly are.
Think twice...Tread Carefully & Diligently!!!🤔
What about Botswana or Rwanda? Have no interest in Ghana too communist
Apartment are overpriced
She is totally lying about the rent the prices are too high maybe she is confused of saying dollars instead cedis
1000 per month for a 3rd world country??
I smell a rat...I would NEVER pay the amount she is quoting. Hahahahha
Though the prices she shot out here are outrageous, the _"3rd world moniker"_ is _de passe._
America has many - I mean MANY - areas and conditions that qualifies it as a "3rd world country".
America is trash.
America is a "3rd world country". (And I can quantify my position.)
So you need 100,000 to start if you want to Move and B Comfortable
20k and a steady income will work depending on lifestyle.
