Hi Linda, thank you for this content. It was super helpful! I want to know if it's true that Ireland is currently not recruiting from Africa, I'm from Nigeria. Is there any agency you know of that is recruiting from Africa at the moment? Also, how many years of work experience is needed for someone to start the process? And lastly, I'm an RN/RM, per chance can I work in Ireland using both qualifications or do I need to use only one qualification at the moment?
1. They still recruit from Africa, but it’s very low in the countries they put in red list like Nigeria, etc. 2. You can either work as a midwife or as a nurse, same with their registrations, they’re done differently. 3. ua-cam.com/video/BIX72gF89cc/v-deo.htmlsi=-9zuR4E7M4MZVX_f Some agencies were mentioned in this video 🖕🏻
I am a registered nurse from China.I will enter Ireland to study for a master's degree in nursing in 2024, and hope to register as an Irish nurse after graduation. After I graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing in China, I had no worke xperience and only had eight months of internship experience in a hospital. And if I study at UL next year, there will be no clinical internship in the course. I want to know, do I meet the registration requirements without work experience and internship experience in Ireland?
Hi, if you recently graduated from your BSc Nursing degree course, and did only internship you’ll hopefully be accepted for NMBI registration, they will ask you to indicate if you don’t have any work experience, cases are treated individually. Thanks.
@@lindamichaelstv thank you for your reply. You are so kind. I was diagnosed with ADHD in China and can apply for a disability certificate in Ireland. I need academic assistance but I also want to be an Irish nurse. I am worried that I will not be able to become a nurse because of my disability certificate. Will nmbi deny me registration because I have ADHD? Will the hospital refuse to hire me because of this disease during recruitment?
I guess their ielts requirement is fair compared to the UK since 6.5 is okay for any of the modules. I heard the take home is lesser compared to the UK. Am glad G2 don’t face much protocols 😊
Hello Ma’am, I would like to ask you something..I’m not a nurse or science background student but I want to switch my subject and study in health sector. So basically my question is, can international student from business can change there subject to science??? If we can, which pathway and college to choose can you please tell me 🙏🏻
In Ireland for instance, you can go for QQI Level 5 in Nursing studies, that’s a one year study in any College of Further Education. You learn practically the courses required for studying BSc Nursing in the university. If you get up to 5 credits including, Anatomy & physiology, Nursing Theory & Practice, you’ll gain an admission into the university with it. But you’ll also take an entrance exam for mature students and meet the CAO, point for Nursing. Good luck! For a Secondary school student they won’t take another any entrance exam but have to meet up with CAO points for leaving Cert. candidates.
After passing the Ielts or oet, or even before passing either of the exams, you can start creat an account with the NMBI to start the recognition process. When you finally get a decision letter, you can either do an adaptation or take the aptitude test to get the Irish pin.
Please if you're already in Ireland is it possible to transition from health care assistance to a nurse like what's obtainable in uk? Because i just got a healthcare job
For an international student doing top up degree in Ireland, they still have to go through this NMBI registration process, though getting the degree is an added advantage, and may make the whole process quicker. Thanks for watching 🥰

Yes dear, Ielts is more flexible. Ireland’s take home is way higher than that of the UK , you’re lucky to from the G2 zone 😃, thanks Julia 🥰
@@lindamichaelstv oh! For real? I thought is low. Have you don videos on that? Would love to watch it.
How do u also cope with working as a nurse and going to school cuz I plan doing my top up nursing
It’s not been easy, I do mostly night shifts !

Thanks very much, check my Instagram page Linda Clues.
So I'm G2 I studied in poland but I'm a native English speaker do I still need the ielts??
Being a native English speaker, you don’t need Ielts. Thanks.
It means if you did post basic nursing which is 18months you will not be approved
It’s likely my dear 💖
Do I need to send verification from my home country by my nursing council to Ireland
Yes dear, the nursing board of your country will do that but you have to initiate the process with them.
@@lindamichaelstvhello I did my IELTS can I register with the NMC of Ireland

Pls ma'am,after one have passed Ielts as a registered midwife is there any other exam to write before searching for a job......

How long will the exam last, within a month?? Or can u possibly shift the exam once ur not ready pls
The exam is only for two days. One can select the exam dates that rhymes with their plans or preparations.
Please if you're already in Ireland is it possible to transition from health care assistance to a nurse like what's obtainable in uk? Because i just got a healthcare job
It’s very possible if you go back to school to study Nursing. Thanks 😊
Im from red list countries how i can apply in Ireland hospital
Apply to private employers like nursing homes.
Is it the same process when you come do a top nursing degree in Ireland? Do you have to go through the same process?
For an international student doing top up degree in Ireland, they still have to go through this NMBI registration process, though getting the degree is an added advantage, and may make the whole process quicker. Thanks for watching 🥰
Thanks so much
As a RGN in Ghana who works as an industrial nurse can I register with nmbi and work in ireland
Yes, you can, any Diploma or Degree registered nurse can register with the NMBI 😊
@@lindamichaelstv ok thank you
Hi can someone start with the pre reg before writing ielts
It’s advised to have your Ielts ready before starting the process, it’ll make it easier.
What about a nurse assistant
Nurse assistants need to enrol in the course and get their certification or they can be trained by their employers.
I will chat you up private in Instagram
Ok 🥰
