It could have all just been avoided if Pink spent just five minutes explaining to Spinel how she might have to behave a little on a new planet. Would she have understood though ? I love Spinel very much, but if there is one thing to take away from before we see her backstory, it's that OG Spinel was very childish and goofy. I mean, even Steven was annoyed with her antics, because she never took anything seriously. She only got games. Plus, I don't think Pink intended to leave her here for 6000 years. A decade or two, perhaps, which is still bad, but not too bad for Gems. But then war, corruption, warp pads broken, and Pink couldn't fix it anymore.

Idk, it's like Spinell is annoying sometimes. I know that is too much correct to say to the person when he/she is getting anoying. But sometimes people can't understand your personal space, and sometimes they get too mad that is necessary some drastic ways to lead with the situation (I hope u're understanding, cuz I don't speak English very well! XD I'm from Brazil). And sometimes you don't want to hurt the person. I think, in that case, Pink is wrong cuz she betrayed Spinell with the game, but, Spinell clearly shows us she is a little annoying in the flashbacks.

I have the theory that spinel was made cause the other Diamonds got tired of Pink 'bothering' them and getting in their way, so they made a gem to distract her. Eventually, Pink must have realized this, and started to resent it. Then started seeing Spinel the way the other Diamonds saw her, as an immature child who only cared about having fun, and resented that too...that look on Pink's face at the end of the clip confirms it for me. Still doesn't make abandoning her ok, Spinel was made for entertainment, like a jester, a harlequin, a royal fool...she didn't know how to be anything else until her heart was broken...and all that Love turned into hate.
“We will play for hours” “everyday was so much fun” “a brand new place to play” never thought three lines from a cute pink character could hit me so hard.
The way her voice gradually breaks more and more throughout the story, her childlike mannerisms slowly disintegrating, the obvious mental _and_ physical changes to her from trauma... It's very relatable and heartbreaking.
It took Pink until she saw Garnet _to recognize that other gems had feelings._ And it took until that moment for her to feel actual love of any kind towards anyone- _Pearl._

A lot people find Spinel annoying and that’s why people think that’s the reason why pink left her, but honestly I don’t really find her annoying at all. Not one bit. I find Spinel to be a really kind and sweet fun loving person. She seems like a truly loyal friend to have by your side. Honestly if I had a friend like that by my side I would love to have them be my friend for as long as I live... God I love Spinel.

Happens a lot in real life. Friends used hang out but grown apart when a so called friend gets bored and annoyed with their other friend so they just leave them. I definitely know how spinel feels. Pink wanted a colony for something she's been asking for and when she finally got it she'd had to be responsible and spinel was made to play all day everyday meaning she'd be a wrong choice for a Colony. And even if pink did keep her. Spinel would of probably exposed Rose as pink diamond while Pink wanted to save all those people since yellow and blue didn't want to listen to stop the colony
To be fair to Pink Diamond, Spinel looked annoying as hell. She obviously didn't know how to behave in front of Pink Diamond's authority figures and didn't listen to Pink even when she told her to stop. That's the kind of friend you want to avoid. Spinel was clingy in a bad, toxic way and it was interfering with Pink's life and goals. I honestly understand why she left Spinel there, she acted like an embarrassment. That still doesn't change the fact that this is her fault though. This whole thing could've been avoided if she just told her how to behave on Earth, even if it hurt her feelings.

Why do I feel like Pink really missed her Pearl and when she was given Spinel she was happy that she finally had someone to spend time with but it just wasn’t the same. She knew Spinel was a replacement and she knew that she was only her friend because that’s what she was made to do.

Sloppy Joe I very much agree that it was cruel. I logv how cut spinel was and seeing how Spinel was abandoned did break my heart. But there was sooo much happening ever since pink has gotten Earth. It’s very possible that she might’ve forgot, had no access to spinel, etc. Handling a rebellion is a lot.

Think of Spinel as...an old childhood toy. You would always love to play with it every day and would get so excited! But after years pass by, you start to grow and obtain different interests. You think the idea of having to keep a childhood toy when you’re older would make you look weird to others, so you discard of them. That’s exactly what Pink did, she thought Spinel was annoying and would be embarrassing to her on Earth, so that’s why she just left her there, kinda like leaving an old toy you used to love in the attic for years. I just realised (or maybe just noticed a parallel). In one of Steven's dream he sees that he is juggling a few bubbles and Pink Pearl is impressed by it. Maybe it was Spinel juggling those balls that were still in her memory till Steven

Spinel wasn't suppose to be with Pink on Earth Because her purpose is to be Pink's playmate and entertain her. You can't play at work. Plus, Pink wanted to prove to the Diamonds that she's capable of being mature and having her own colony. I know that she made the wrong decision but I think Spinel was doomed regardless of what decision Pink picked. Here's my reasons why i think this... 1. If Pink did bring Spinel with her to Earth. The Diamonds would take away her colony or would shatter Spinel for being a distraction. 2. If Pink told Spinel the truth that she didn't want Spinel to be her friend anymore and that she is free. That would break her heart because being Pink Diamond's playmate is the reason of her existence. Plus, she loved being Pink's playmate too. I'll hurt her to know that Pink Diamond aka "her best friend" didn't want to be her best friend anymore and that her feelings weren't mutual. 3. If Pink Diamond took Spinel to the Diamonds. They would have shattered her because she fulfilled her purpose so she's no longer needed or she would of been turned into a object. That would be devastating to Spinel too. 4. I don't think giving her away is a great decision because why would anyone at Homeworld want a silly Spinel? So I don't think that'll work. These people never heard of the concept called "fun" so Spinel would be ostracized and then would be hunted down like the off colors. She'll be a off color to the off colors themselves lol. She would always end up alone. Plus, A Diamond playing with a low class gem is disgraceful behavior for a Diamond. They played at a isolated garden for a reason.
Too be honest if spinel came with pink to earth she would of had to go through 6,000 years of thinking pink was shattered so idk if keeping her in the garden was better or not. A lot people find Spinel annoying and that’s why people think that’s the reason why pink left her, but honestly I don’t really find her annoying at all. Not one bit. I find Spinel to be a really kind and sweet fun loving person. She seems like a truly loyal friend to have by your side. Honestly if I had a friend like that by my side I would love to have them be my friend for as long as I live... God I love Spinel.

To be fair to Pink Diamond, Spinel looked annoying as hell. She obviously didn't know how to behave in front of Pink Diamond's authority figures and didn't listen to Pink even when she told her to stop. That's the kind of friend you want to avoid. Spinel was clingy in a bad, toxic way and it was interfering with Pink's life and goals. I honestly understand why she left Spinel there, she acted like an embarrassment. That still doesn't change the fact that this is her fault though. This whole thing could've been avoided if she just told her how to behave on Earth, even if it hurt her feelings.

It’s very possible that she might’ve forgot, had no access to spinel, etc. Handling a rebellion is a lot.

Spinel wasn't suppose to be with Pink on Earth Because her purpose is to be Pink's playmate and entertain her. You can't play at work. Plus, Pink wanted to prove to the Diamonds that she's capable of being mature and having her own colony. I know that she made the wrong decision but I think Spinel was doomed regardless of what decision Pink picked. Here's my reasons why i think this...
1. If Pink did bring Spinel with her to Earth. The Diamonds would take away her colony or would shatter Spinel for being a distraction.
2. If Pink told Spinel the truth that she didn't want Spinel to be her friend anymore and that she is free. That would break her heart because being Pink Diamond's playmate is the reason of her existence. Plus, she loved being Pink's playmate too. I'll hurt her to know that Pink Diamond aka "her best friend" didn't want to be her best friend anymore and that her feelings weren't mutual.
3. If Pink Diamond took Spinel to the Diamonds. They would have shattered her because she fulfilled her purpose so she's no longer needed or she would of been turned into a object. That would be devastating to Spinel too.
4. I don't think giving her away is a great decision because why would anyone at Homeworld want a silly Spinel? So I don't think that'll work. These people never heard of the concept called "fun" so Spinel would be ostracized and then would be hunted down like the off colors. She'll be a off color to the off colors themselves lol. She would always end up alone. Plus, A Diamond playing with a low class gem is disgraceful behavior for a Diamond. They played at a isolated garden for a reason.
