Chandler really is a nice, genuine person. I met him at the Nashville airport last year as we both arrived. It was a late flight and he could have told me to piss off…but he didn’t. I asked him for a photo and he kindly took one, then shook my hand, asked me my name and what I did. He introduced himself as well & held a brief conversation before parting ways. Chandler didn’t have to do any of that, especially considering he was heading home to his family. But he took the time to be gracious with a fan. Super awesome dude. So pumped for his next fight.

Usman is kinda the same way, I usually skip his portions of the embeddeds not because I particularly dislike him, but I just feel excessively neutral and don't like wasting my time when I can just do something else I enjoy I watch and cheer against Conor because I like to see the world burn occasionally, though the dolly situation was fucked and he's a terrible person. I feel similarly about Dustin as I do Chandler, so that shows my allegiance 😊 Chandler genuinely is inspiring, like I could imagine seeing one episode and thinking he's over the top or cringe, but when you see him over and over and realize it's never fake, he wins you over completely.

By far the best signing Dana has made in recent times, Mike is one of the few fighters who truly understands this is entertainment, he puts in the work in training AND with the media. Chandler always strikes me as a 'Rocky' type. He leaves everything in the ring, win or lose and he is there to fight. I remember watching his Gaethje fight and he barely had any legs left yet still got up ready to brawl. Interviews I've seen he always comes across as a respectful, nice guy. Glad he got the W.

Michael Chandler is a future hall of famer. Dudes fought the cream of the crop for years and years, always a class act, always shows up to fight. He embodies what it means to be a professional martial artists. True legend. I don’t think he can be champion or at least champ for long though because he’s got the same problem as most wrestlers. He can’t counter high level bjj. I think if he fights olivera again he’s got a chance to KO him but I think olivera submits him about 9/10 times.

Chandler did do a good job defending on the ground but olivera had his back within the first minute and a half. And still chandler is a wrestler that can stand and bang. He’s not really a bjj specialist so I think that’s a major holdback from him being a dominant champion if he were to win the belt. It’s definitely the fight I want to see next for Olivera.

When he first came over to the UFC I was kinda mad he was getting such special treatment in a division full of deserving contenders, but now I know why the UFC was so invested in him.
