I think the difference here is that the Creator is a totally new IP and the premise has to be explained, while we already know what to expect from the plot of a Mission: Impossible movie, so the emotional stakes are the highlight. I did think it was strange that the MI7 trailer gives absolutely nothing away about the villain though.
That's an interesting thought! I hadn't considered the franchise aspect to it. A bit sad though if there was a 'just another one of these' aspects to the marketing though? Although presumably this and part 2 is the end of the franchise?? (until some inevitable reboot in about 5 years time)
