As long as you keep driving in this car I believe you’ll beat the cancer

Good morning. Well done! But, an outstanding head protection you did not mention was wearing a Darth Vader helmet, providing full head coverage and face sun shade and truly looks COOL, grabbing the attention of many other drivers and people along the street! Get the version with built-in Bluetooth head speakers and you are fully Good-to-GO! Of course you can also add the Darth Vader Cape for shoulder protection and full-arm length black leather gloves to complete the Z3 driving ensemble! There is an accessory that is quite the accompanying addition --- get the built-in Bluetooth microphone to connect to a Vader Exterior Speaker system for that heavy breathing we all do when driving our Z's --- it provides excellent advance warning of your presence near crosswalks! By the way, just LOVE the long flowing golden hair (sorry, would be covered up by the Vader helmet! 😄

The hair was from my highly unscientific test of the wind screen.

Hope everything works out Mark. One of the benefits of living in the UK is that we only get about 7 days of sunlight.

Great Topic!!! I've had both squamous and basil cell the key being, catching any of the 3 cancers mentioned early. If something on your skin looks out of the ordinary anywhere on your skin / body do not hesitate, see a dermatologist ASAP!!! I now see the dermatologist regularly every 6 months no ifs and's or buts.
Mark, Good Luck on your skin cancer fight and thanks for this special public service announcement!!!

Thank you Mark. We all need to reminded about the risks of sun exposure.

Thanks for the video Mark. It was a somber and timely entry for me, as a central Florida resident also with my father being diagnosed with skin cancer very recently. It makes it a lot tougher to convince him to cruise around now.
I quickly realized how little I have to drive with the top down in before I get a light burn. Now I'm looking at keeping sunblock in the car, buying a different hat, and upgrading my glasses too.
It's a serious topic, and it needs more attention, so prevention becomes a priority to more folks. Thanks again for the video.

Serious topic, everybody of our age (seems we are more or less the same) should do a regular skin cancer checkup (here in Germany covered by your health insurance). The sun got more and more aggressive over the years. Wish you all the best, don't worry too much now as it was treated properly.

Just remember to wear your SPF Vampire sunscreen on exposed areas of your skin, wear clothing with a good UPF rating, keep your vitamin A & C levels up and reserve your top-down drive experiences for late-day and evening hours. 🤷‍♂️
The primary reasons that many women suffer less in idents of skin cancer is lifestyle habits and skin care regimens. And of course, people of color having increased melanin resists UV rays.
Neutrogena has a dry-touch formula with an SPF 70

@@MomentofZed I encountered a scientific test several years ago about the effects of lycopene as well. The before and after results were both promising and astonishing. The test consisted of subjects ingesting amounts of tomato paste daily. The subjects were exposed to concentrated UV light to small areas of the skin to see how long it would take to burn. After approximately 6 months of ingesting the tomato paste it was noted that the skin was 30% more resistant to burning.
One of the best and more tasty ways I like to get my lycopene is by stewing tomatoes for home made sauces. The lycopene in tomatoes more readily comes to the surface and is easier for the body to get the most benefit. Of course, there are other foods containing lycopene…

I wouldn't be concern about skin cancer driving convertible. If you are a lot outside, sun exposing, you can get it anyway... I would be more concern about chronic headache because of the wind. Especially if you are taller person..

Adding the convertible to my misspent youth and my laziness about hats and sunscreen was my downfall I think.
