- It's taco time!!! 🌮 If you're looking for something delicious, filling, and full of fresh veggies then look no further! For this recipe, I used Chorizo Seitan as my base with a mix of colorful, deliciousness. I'm talking homemade guacamole, tomatoes, beans, cabbage, mushrooms, onions, cilantro, and lemon. 🤤 You'll have to tell me how yours turned out when you try it! Alicia is amazing you can tell she was born to be a wonderful mother so nurturing and down to earth. Bear is so receptive to her guidance there's no way most kids his age would be comfortable cooking and chopping with knives. I would love to see more of these two sharing lifestyle stories or a mini cooking channel would be fun!

You could have this exact same wonderful scenario in a single wide trailer or studio apartment, and with food bought of food stamps! Throw some welfare in there, too! This was a normal, everyday occurrence with a mama making dinner with her son and his buddy. Money meant absolutely nothing here
@@trancos7641Nope, down to earth. She lives in the same house she bought 27 years ago, grows her own food, uses recycled/repurposed materials, and acts with intention to minimize her impact on the planet. She's walked the walk all her life.

I’m Mexican and vegetarian and you made this meal so deliciously just the way I would. I make my beans at home too but when you are short on time Amy’s refried beans will do just fine! I love that Bear is in there chopping up the veggies too! You guys are so inspiring ❤

I love how it’s not perfect! You know, like the chopping board and everything has clearly been used many times before, the cutting of the Veggies isn’t perfect and I love how bear and his friend come in and help! It’s not so staged and she’s not reading from a script! it’s real and I appreciate & enjoy that! Thanks 🙏

I love this so much. Going to invest in your book as soon as I can. My oldest son in grade 12 recently told me he is vegan, coming up with meal ideas for him has been a challenge. On a side note, I’m in my 40’s and just got one of those flat food picky up things lol. It’s a lot easier adding the chopped veggies to the pan. It looks delicious!

I bought "The Kind Diet" book when it came out, and I still cook from it, my favorite recipe being the "baby bok choy with ume vinaigrette", so yummy! What I love about the recipes in the book is that not only are they vegan but also different. It's not your usual vegan chili and vegan macaroni cookbook. Recently I read somewhere on the internet that Alicia is coming out with a new cookbook, I hope that's true 😊

I generally am a grouch lol and just shit on celebrities and find most of them insufferable tbh but I adore her, her kiddo, her activism, her humility, and as you say chill approach with food. How many beautiful actresses are this relatable? I personally don't see it super often so I really appreciate her vibes and the work she does.

Apparently I taste something in cilantro that most people don't have the receptors to taste. You know what the water smells like in a bouquet that you've left in the vase for two weeks? Ok, in your imagination, take the vase, dip it in your used dishwater, just scoop up a little, swirl it around in the dirty vase, and take a big sniff.
THAT is what cilantro tastes like to me; that smell. Kind of green, kind of soapy, kind of decayed.
I have also been blessed by the taste gods with the receptor that makes cabbage and broccoli taste like skunk.

Me too! Seeing two beautiful boys with different ethnicity's is more touching than in should be imo because of the divisiveness. Regardless, I find it heart warming. Everything else in the video as well from them helping to Alicia's down to earth nature and of course the food! lol :D

Right! My bf's a meat eater and would love this as it's hardy. Is that how you say it lol? I'm mostly vegan but completely vegetarian and I do the cooking and with recipes like hers it works for him. It's awesome :)

I saw a video where Gordon Ramsey said if your sensitive to onions, don't cut off the root. You want to cut towards the root. In the Navy we used to soak them in an ice bath dry them off and then slice, dice, or chop them.
