I had a whole bunch of negative energy to spew on the JAAA, but I’m just gonna say thanks to these men for trying. Sometimes bad things need to happen, so that necessary changes can be made in the future. Is there another possibility to try for qualification?
It’ll be strange not having a team in Paris.

The lackluster mentality of the jaaa is just unbelievable. Jamaica should have qualified from the world relays but because they can do nothing and still get pay or be as mediocre as possible without repercussion then we now see us struggling to do the comfortable..

Why blame the Jaaa the athletes didn’t make themselves available they can’t force them if they don’t want to take part

    • @patricktaylor5802

It's not the JAAA. Coaches would not release their Athletes at that time of the year. Being a Olympic year, most Athleties are in the weight room and the ones in College won't be released. Trials is the most important thing right now for individual.

    • @patricktaylor5802

@@EzigoingJAAA have nothing to do with it. Coaches not releasing their Athletes because they are getting ready for Trials and College won't release either because of NCAA. Stop blaming JAAA they are just a Governing body Athletes are Pro with Manager and Coach who makes the decision. Just like Leon Bailey

they did their best thanks to them to give it their all inspite of the outcome however i believe the team could be stronger if it was Sean Bailey, Jevauhn Powell, Roshawn Clark and the anchor leg runner maybe they would have made it through but i think from now on JAAA need to make things like these mandatory that any top athletes that are requested to turn up for meets like these they must turn up unless they are injured

JAAA needs to arrange trials that the 400m can be finished by Friday night. Then arrange 4 4x400m teams to go after the time, if needs be invite other countries to try also. It can work , please try JAAA, this would be our last chance.

That was a magnificent try, practically running by themselves. They had two great opportunities at the World relays in Bahamas. Lesson learned for not bringing the A team then. We tend to forget that the whole world is catching up with extraordinary athletes and that goes to the USA team also. Anyways, I hope they make it before June 30th. They are very capable of doing it especially now with the help of the college athletes who are on vacation. Go Jamaica!

I thought Coach Walcott was a Puma coach and the only Nike athlete is Shelly.
If Walcott is a Puma coach & is sabotaging Elaine, to what end. This could ruin his career.
Based on what we heard, he's coaching Elaine but she's not a member of his club. We don't know what that means and if he is coaching her 100% and is making all the decisions.
Coach Walcott has several athletes injured from last season and we don't know what to expect from them as the season progress - Shelly Ann FP, Rasheed B., Megan T., Kemba N., Kericca H.
It could be a case where he's working overtime to manage the injuries of ALL of his athletes.
Maybe he's a novice in dealing with so many injured high profile athletes at once.

The men's 4x400 is a tough one but such is life. The country sent the athletes that made themselves available. It is an Olympic year and I also understand the need to protect oneself from injury. As such, there are layers to this thing and we cannot blame the JAAA for the athletes' poor performance. We are not privy to having A standard 400m runners like the States so we should give them grace for trying.

No the problem is that Jamaica coaches can coach. Not of Jamaican man or woman don't Tran to run 200. 400. Or 800. All want to run only 100m. And can even run 9.90. These coaches do train the youths. Dem 400 programs so we will never have 400 runners. Look at big lady that came second to Shelly. She don't run 200m why. If she did I better she would be faster. Look at dem 3 big man that only run 100. But none past 10.1. Go train 400 and 200 then come to 100 late
