Great jazz ensemble. Awesome to watch young, beautiful, talented women who can sing and play horn instruments in reviving jazz music with ease and passion. Billie Holiday and Duke Ellington must be smiling.
These musicians have become legendary....but like all things that are good in life, time will change things. These beautiful and so talented musicians are destined to become young women that will go on their own and build their own careers if they choose to make music their lives. The dynasty they have created with their togetherness under Mr. Chamorro's is going to change. There will be others to follow...new instrumentalists and vocalists to teach and groom..they will become a new dynasty as long as Chamorro is at the helm. He does magic...gives his students a chance to become themselves..to find their own voice. But treasure these musicians as an ensemble because this can't last forever. Meanwhile, gratitude to you Mr. Chamorro, you have brought happiness and joy to so many of us around the world.
Very well said. These four girls were his All-Star line-up, with Andrea perhaps the most gifted of them all. And we can already see the new generation on the way. It's all very exciting and there's so much to look forward to!
Yes, the ensemble will move forward with new young people, and the current musicians will branch out. But the amazing number of recordings and videos that Joan has made guarantee that the music made by our old favorites will last as long as people still have the technology to see and hear them.

I have never heard Billie Holiday sing this number before this but having now done so I am glad I heard this first. This version is better by far. I often go to originals mentioned by other commentators just to see/hear what was done to a song first and so far nothing has compared to Mr Chamorro's treatment or these young people's application. They are all fantastic and I wish them all the very best for the rest of their lives. They have given me a lot of happiness listening and watching. Long live the internet because without it I never would have encountered this group of talented people. May I also add I think the guitarist deserves far more adulation than he gets. Josep Traver's backing often gets me back tracking to hear him playing a solo again. He deserves more recognition and adulation for his part in training and backing these young people.
