I was there we were on top of the open top bus and had just come back from a tour of the Airfield when it took off as a 10 year old I couldn't believe the noise incredible.
I was there and the commentator announced "and now a maximum power turn" I've never heard anything like it before or since - felt like all the rivets would pop out - incredible
This was the best spot to watch the show from! Half expecting to see my Dad's car although I think we may have been in a field a bit to the left of this. Great video brings back happy memories. The Vulcan was an awesome sight that day and looking back to see it so close up was a real privilege.
Wow Maestro did you have your earplugs on when this beauty took off what an amazing film indeed was it an Airshow is this an Airforce plane you lucky thing Bravo ✈️🇬🇧🇺🇸💕😀💜✈️
Hi Elaine, this was from Woodford Airshow in '91. I did a lot of videos in the 90's and have just started to transfer them from tape into the PC Woodford is about 3 miles from where i live, it is now a housing estate 😡 All 134 Vulcans were built at Avro's Woodfood Factory, it always put on a special show when it came home, stay healthy 👍✈❤
Tkey Aviation Wow thanks for all that info I’ve only moved from Luton 4 years ago to be near family so I don’t know the area well. I worked at Luton Airport in check-in for 8 years those early shifts with a constant smile for EasyJet got me down lol. I met Stelious of EasyJet in staff room he’s an ok guy really got a sound business head. I’m not doing well with social distancing I’m a very social person with a big group of male and female friends. I don’t think I’ll be visiting the Airport before autumn now and I’ve cancelled my 2 holidays this year. I’ve got my spotters sending me wonderful films I’m trully spoiled how come I’m the only lady spotter lol. Best wishes Elaine ✈️🇬🇧🇺🇸🙏💕😀💜
Nah, at full power this is louder than a Lightning & compared to a Concorde, it is close. As they've got the same engines, the only difference being; the Concorde has reheat.

I was there at 3 years old obsessed with this beast ever since. Thanks so much for upload.
Totally encapsulated my first seeing of the vulcan at stoughton areodrome in the 90's! Thank you so much!!
Bombers fly like a fighter
Absolutely fantastic
Thanks mate, no camera stabilization in those days, can you tell? 😂
@@TkeyAviation not at all 😂 great work 👌

Thanks pal, no camera stabilization in those days lol...... much more vintage vids to come 👍
Wow amazing video mate!
Thanks mate, a lot more vintage footage to come... Now i have time to put it together 👍
Brilliant! I’ve never seen any of this
Excellent take off!
I'm ex BAE, and EE, Falklands war 1982
Awesome video my friend!
Thanks mate 👍
Good show.
Thanks mate
She won't go quietly
Noisiest? Nope, not even close lol. A BAC Lightning or Concorde taking off. But the magnificent Vulcan did have "the howl". Great vintage footage 💜
Thanks mate, actually THE loudest aircraft i ever heard was the Space Shuttle 'Endeavour' launch in florida 1993 , stay safe, stay healthy my friend 👍
The older discontinued Vulcans were actually a lot louder than the last ones.
@@TkeyAviation The Russian Tu-160 blows the rest of the aircraft away. BTW Endeavour is not an aircraft it is a spacecraft.
@@BBQFanNo1: BTW, the "Endeavour" is both.

Videos sound do no justice to the Vulcan I saw in the 1970s at airshows.
Nice man. Got Notified . Like 2nd
Excellent , glad you liked it 👍
