I never use cake batter extract I just bought some and I’m a use it see how it tastes but your cake looks so delicious and moist. I know it’s fantastic and I watch diva can cook. I watch all of them that’s all I really learn how to bake and I love bacon I sell pancakes I said oh cakes and I love watching your channel. God bless you and your family.
Your cake looks delicious! You're using the same recipe I have used for about 50 years for the "Italian Cream Cake," but I also put pecans in the cake batter (not in the icing) and I really like black walnuts so I put black walnuts in the cake batter and on top of the cake when I get it iced. Yum! So good! I'm like you, though, and like coconut, so, I always put the full amount in the cake. Since your husband doesn't care for the coconut, he might not like the black walnuts, either! I cut a circle of waxed paper and put it in the bottom of my cake pans to prevent the cakes from sticking. I really like your channel. Just discovered it a couple of weeks or so ago. No , I’m not a diabetic. When you’re cooking/baking you tend to taste a little bit along the way and I’m not a big cake person. I enjoy making them and seeing my family happy ❤️thanks for sharing and being a part of our family. Let the journey continue… I’m going to try baking a cake with Splenda.
We would love that. My husband, Steve loves Sweets but is now diabetic and in Renal failure.. I would love to be able to make him a pineapple cake, his favorite with splenda.. I don't know how to do that. There are so many diabetics who would love to enjoy a piece of cake.. Splenda has a brown sugar that I use in sweet potato casserole but no marshmallow. I will be watching for your Splenda cake.. 👍👍 Thank you Teresa !!!

I’m going to try your recipe, everything is the same except for the baking powder. My recipe calls for 1tsp of baking soda. But I love to try different way of making the same cake. Your looks fluffier so I will be trying this one 👍🏽

I forgot to give an update on my cake. The cake was very delicious, but I found it to be a little on the crumbly side. Don't know what went wrong, because this is a simple recipe. The cake itself was a VERY soft cake, but it crumbles time I stick a fork in it to pick up a piece. Go figure... Maybe it's supposed to be this way 🤷

I find that if you cool cakes on a rack, there's less chances of them sticking. Also don't let them completely cool.
