It is so popular because it is simple and can be you life journey friend in every moment.
That was the reason why people bought it a couple of years ago. Recently (around the early 2000s) the watch became very well known and the flexing tool number one for people who don't give a shit about watches - they don't care about reliability and the quality. They just want to flex and show off.
I saved for two years and got mine today. A lovely simple design which looks great for any occasion.
The 116610LN is the greater Submariner ever made, therefore, second-to-none in terms of overall must-own watches.
I disagree only because of the new maxi case they are using. The pre ceramic is my favorite of which I own only due to the more sleek style of case.

I’m giving the Yacht Master serious consideration or a 116600 Sea Dweller if I can find a decent used one. I like a 40mm watches in general, the Sub Mariner is a fine watch just it’s less rare and wearing something a bit different allows a slightly more unique feel. Their all great in there own no shame in owning any Rolex....simply preference.
Rolex Submariner 116610LN is the best Rolex watch ever made. Even better then 126610 LN 41

The Rolex Black Submarine is the perfect watch . everyone can wear it. Most other beautiful watches don’t suit you when you wear them.
Man, 911 and Submariner is ‚common‘ because its good taste, both are the incarnation of style and class. So simple.

Absolutely fantastic video - and I agree 100% on the 911 comparison! I'm a BIG car guy for my whole life and just getting into watches now. Saw a Bluesy Submariner and had to have it, but wanted to do my research first. It's a perfect comparison between the 911s. I also equated the Kermit/Hulk with a lizard green gt3rs. I have my first watch on its way - a 2020 Bluesy Submariner, to compliment my 991.2 GT3 Manual. Great channel and thanks for the info!
We are also big fans of cars too, especially Porsche. A great choice going manual in your GT3, these will be very sought after in a few years when everything is electric and automatic.
The 'Bluesy' is much more special than the steel Submariner, we love that blue dial.

Hands down its the flexibility! You can wear a Sub dressed up business professional and you can turn around and where it just as well on weekends when dressed down. I think the Datejust gets overlooked a lot but the Sub is what it is!
You can get a datejust on minimum salary. Everyone would have one if they were that good. I had one and it the opposite. It’s to over hyped.

I bought an Explorer II black dial with orange gmt hand as my first Rolex sports model. Most people don’t know it is a Rolex.
Came VERY close to snagging up a White Faces Explorer II today...ended up going with a new Sub instead. I couldn't help it, they didn't have the Datejust model I wanted. : )
@@muriloninja I just sold my Exp2 black dial after I got the new Sub. The Sub is the perfect watch for me.
Best dial layout for a watch, the triangle at 12, rectangles at quarters, and circular hour markers. No date is the way to go.

@@davem.2788 I was in a hospitality box at a football match recently and there were 3 other men wearing a black sub as well as myself. Then at half-time I saw another two men at the toilets wearing them! I think I’m going to sell it now they are very common and it’s no longer special to me.

Good well prroduxed video. But I wouldnèt compare a Rolex to a Porsche 911 . :) Or at last i wouldnèt. WhyÉ The 911 has been proven driven on pulbic roads and on race tracks ...by amateurs and proès....whereas as the Sub has never been 'deep diving' '...or diving at all except maybe in a public pool. :))
Ièd be looking at the 126610 41mm....allegedly has an anti-reflective coating...FINALLY. But not yet confirmed....still looing into this fact. Itès just BETTER if a watch DOES have an Ar caoting if to reduce the reflections at all...better to have...Sea Dweller as it...or the most recent itteration..

Buy the Yachtmaster
I bought my first Yachtmaster in 2005 for £3250 I wish I had bought a Submariner instead due to todays pricing. Which model yachtmaster do you want to purchase? Other than the rose gold they are not so desirable so resale can be a bummer.

Just got one for !50 pound.....It's to my eyes as much close to the original as I can see. Fake, or holy original...Your call.
Because it is almost the perfect watch. Not quite though because the current version has a case that is too chunky. Tomorrow of course might change all that except you and I won't be able to get one... If you want a good Rolex Sub or GMT now just buy a Tudor instead. Get a better watch at half the price and no real waiting time.
To my opinion that chuncky look is suitable for the sub. It will differentiate a sub to a gmt and other rolexes/watches. Further more this will make the sub is unique to its purpose and will look masculine. If all watches have slim cases then what is sub compare to others.. they all the same! isn't it!?
