Yea, I was in good mood
I’m happy to say after over 5 years of practice I’ve finally mastered the first 6 seconds of the piece.

This is one of Chopin's pieces where you get high hopes that you can play the piece and then eventually see the sheet music and quit.
Ha! Just like me :(
It’s not bad. Learn some other of his waltzes and then you can tackle this one. Tempo comes with time, but I think the sheet music isn’t that intimidating.
@@Aaron-ou5mw I've tried it for about one month and it's easy!(But kinda hard to memorize the last two pages)
its actually fairly easy imo
a lot of repetition so not that bad. Considering that Chopin waltz is not as bad as he’s etudes, it’s quite ok
One day, my father came to me and said: do you know the name of the music that goes like "ta nanana ta nanana ta nanana nananana..." he said that it always played in Tom and Jerry. After hours of research, he finally found out that this was the piece

@@ganglians yep!
Its crazy how not even one person can compose greater pieces than Chopin, Liszt, etc in todays world even with the modern technology. They were truly History
They came out of a culture that DIED in 1914 when 19 year old Gavrilo Princip, waiting on a corner in Sarajevo for the expected arrival of a fat Austrian named Franz and his innocent wife Sophie, fired off rounds from a pistol he just happened to have and a civilization self-destructed and was replaced with a blood thirsty monster. Probably the very peak of Western Civilization and, now, the decline as the militaristic and psychopathic New Rome, with just barely an intellectual tradition, pushes its hegemony, not into brutal and blind Theocracy as did Rome, but into Human extinction and a boon to the rest of Earth... Huzzah! And perhaps the band will be playing Chopin while our ship goes down, perhaps the "Heroic Polonaise" just to add some irony...
saying not a single person has made music on par with them is a huge disserbice to the talented and skilled people living today so idk if this is it chief
This valse is so happy, makes me think of a child playing with a baby dog in the sky...

i have to say. this is my favorite interpretation of this piece. i love how you're so light and bouncy with all the notes, it feels as though it should. i feel like a lot of pianists' philosophy is that since it's a chopin, it should be intense, and menacing, which i see why they think that, but it's not always true. this piece is supposed be nice and happy, and bouncy, and fun! so is the minute waltz! best interpretation i have ever seen!
I'm finding myself favoring Kassia's interpretations on various pieces...
@@eenayeah sammmmmmme
Yes you’re so right! Great interpretation
The Classical Nerd of Classical yes agreed!
Who on earth plays this piece intense and menacing

How is this stuff still relevant after more than 150 years. I’ve first heard this music at my grand dads and now 40-ish years later I still enjoy it. From an old record player to a smart phone with Bluetooth ewrphones the technology has changed tremendously. Fortunately this music didn’t and will never cease to impress. ❤️
This was said to be chopins favorite piano piece written by him! I think this makes it all the more special. My father loved this piano piece, he used to be very good but a few years ago he just, stopped. So I’m planing on learning this for his 50th birthday! Wish me luck!! (It’s on October 15th :D)

This is quite possibly my favourite piano piece of all time. It's such a happy and playful little waltz.
Honestly, this is one of the best interpretations of the Grande Valse Brillante I've ever heard in my life. The melodic parts are played beautifully and with emotion, and it just touches my heart. The fast part are played with excellent staccato and the pedaling is outstanding. This just sounds so good and I am thankful that it is posted on UA-cam so I can listen to it everyday.
Everytime i hear a Chopin piece I always close my eyes and try to imagine him playing it. I wish we had video or at least audio recordings of Chopin and Liszt. I know that the technology wasn't around at the time but still that would be amazing.
There is a recording of Liszt showing his students how to play piano, apparently. Search it on UA-cam. But sadly not Chopin
@@Chazza_1201 I's taken from a television series. It's not actually Liszt.
@@pegtopmaster8780 that’s very sad to hear lol

Diese musik ist einfach großartig.vielen dank.
Tom and Jerry is culture.
With the hands moving so fast it's hard to know how many keys are being played, the lights show how complex the composition is. Love it, keep it up.

POV : You finally found this masterpiece
This is one of the most unique interpretations of this piece I've heard. It is clearly now my favorite. Kassia, you are AMAZING.
I've always thought that Chopin put all of his passion for life into his music, so it would last beyond him. He knew he had "consumption" (what we now know as tuberculosis) from the time he was 19. Pieces like this one certainly have a joie de vivre that's unmistakable. Thank you for a lovely iteration.

Hey Kassia, another great performance! Personally I would love to see Schubert, because he is so underplayed by youtube-pianists.. Something like Klavierstücke D. 946 No. 2 in E Flat, which is a really beautiful piece. But Beethoven is great as well, your interpretations were always fantastic. Keep going!

I just knew this song on Tom & Jerry - The Flying Cat yesterday
Incredible how cartoons from the past were so rich in music. Loved that flying cat Tom and Jerry Episode.
This has to be, by far, my favorite interpretation of this piece! I could say the same about most everything else you put out there! 😊
Notice the beautiful melody on the right hand. In the beginning the legato makes very nice bel canto style and the multiple staccatos a bit later are clear and dry creating perfect contrast!
This waltz makes me think of so many things
It brings so many colors, like a sudden splash of color. It just seems to surprise you
This piece is so fantastically bright and your interpretation of it accentuates that well, in my opinion, without going over the top with it. Great performance!

Beautiful interpretation of this piece. Chopin would be very proud. Ever since I discovered you, I wouldn't stop watching and listening to your performances. Awesome job and keep it up. Hope one day, I get to see you perform on the big stages.
This is from the episode where Tom locks Jerry outside in a blizzard, but then he feels guilty and bring him back in. I always liked that episode because Tom and Jerry are actually nice to each other. And, Tom plays the piano!
Also at episode 63 when tom flies around and hits a mailbox
He played Hungarian Rhapsody with 8 fingers while chasing Jerry across the piano.
The song where Tom plays piano is a Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody no 2

Ага
Fun fact: actually this piece paved the way for the modern day Nokia tune!! See, there was a Spanish composer Fransisco Tŕrega who composed a piece-- gran vals. A small section from that ( at the beginning) is the original Nokia tune. Now he said that, he took inspiration from a short musical phrase (actually the main theme) of Chopin's grande valse brillante. I think it's from 00:05 to 00:12 . So this piece is related to Nokia tune!!
Never knew Chopin had an inspiration of it.
I thought they were different pieces
