There's definitely something about the rain and the relationship between Aziraphale and Crowley. In the first season, when the first rain fell over them, Aziraphale shelted Crowley from it with one of his wings, even when he wasn't protected. I took as a nice gesture he did to his soon-to-be friend. But later, in season 2, we learned that they knew each other long before that day, when Crowley was still an angel and is starting the gears of creation or whatever and Aziraphale cross path with him, that's when they met for the first time. And some stars start falling out. And that time, Crowley was the one covering Aziraphale with his wing. That's no coincidence. I'm pretty sure that Crowley took the idea from personal experience as both those moments were very important for their relationship. Maybe there's still more significant raining scenes between them that we haven't seen yet.
There really are big parallels in the 2 seasons. I guess it will be like this in the 3rd season too. One will come back again. And then they argue again and one will leave. And one will reunite them. 😅😅😅😅😅.
This streaming series is so under the radar and overlooked. But, it's a total GEM! David Tenant is marvellous as the " dark" angel. You know the angel who deep down wants to be light and love, but is terrified of being open and vulnerable and weak and soppy. While his opposite number, Martin Sheen, is always trying so hard to be nice and good because he,'s terrified of being nasty and bad. Or angry. Or " strong". It's touching, funny, quirky, unexpected and so very true to life. Watch it if you can.
