My Shangguan sucks & always do random fly somewhere else, after watching some tips & tricks from UA-cam, now my Shangguan crippled & using a wheelchair
Im a Shangguan main and here are tips for new players that want to learn to use the most fun mage in the game😊😊. 1. When learning to use her combos, you should learn to pause while ulting. That's the cream of the crop of Shangguans ability, it helps you get guaranteed kills and it allows you to use the defense build effectively. You see how the recommended builds on yer include the lifesteal item and then the hp penetration item first, its cause they've mastered her. If you've not learnt to pause during her ultimate, you can go for the pure damage build. And stay away from frenzy if you've not mastered her ult to the fullest. 2. Know when to go in and position yourself. Shanguan can solo any(and i mean any) mage or marksman and some fighters or junglers so if they have cc skills(like daji or liang or xiao qiao) wait till theyve used it or use youe ukt to dodge it. 3. Know how to use her passive during hwr ult. Her passive is her third basic attacks does more damage, it doesn't have to be a third basic attack, it can also be a third ult. 4. Be wary of picking her against tanky set ups like ugly dun or super ugly dianwei. Cant think of more rn lmao
She is shines at level 8 under tower dives, then she starts to fall off hard and her late game is worse than most other mages. I think best mage is Gan&Mo for solo carry and his late game is the the best in my opinion.
@kyouitv Yes, he is not as efficient against tanks but he is definitelly not desperate unlike assasins. If you land ult shot in the center, you can take half hp of even full tanks such as Liu shan. I think he is not particularly worse than other mages against tanks. Assasins are usually the worst against tanks by far. In most games i deal almost half of the team damage which is practically almost impossible with any assasin.
She'd still have easier time than other dive heroes since she could still use her ult from afar. Hell, if you're not confident, you can also just play her like a normal backline nukers and spam both of her base skills in fights, her dmg with that is still pretty high
Crazy how people say these kinds of heroes are, 'the best, but bad just because people don't master them". BS. The only thing a Shanguan can contribute in a game is damage. Even then, the damage still isn't enough. All it takes is one easy asf hero to stun her and wreck the literal one thing she can do. I don't think champs limited to specific match ups and scenarios are good, because then you're gambling on your opponents to give you those scenarios, or your unstable teammates to force it for you. I think Shanguan is fun, but then people are better off mastering Mai and Diao Chan instead, cuz those two are actually versatile.
She's better at diving to the backline than they are. And she has more early game damage than they do. She does her job effectively as an assassin. you can ask the garo users with tanks protecting them.
Her contribution is more about shutting down opponents by killing them multiple times in early game, which she could do a lot more easily than any other mid. It's the same principle as how Kongming work and we all know how hard it is to stop a fed Kongming unless he does a blunder. I agree about Mai being more worth it to learn, but Diaochan ? Ehhh, you can't really complain about Shangguan only providing dmg and then recommend Diaochan when she literally only does the same thing as the former. Heck, if anything Diaochan is worse than Shangguan considering she needs a lot more time to hit her power spike than Shangguan.
@@youagain8447 Diao Chan is a consistent damage duelist that shuts down almost every melee champ in the hands of a master. True, she provides damage like Shanguan does... plus true damage for tanks, untargetability to deny crucial enemy skills, regen, sustain, more outplay potential and overall versatility in various situations. I've had more trouble with Diao Chans, and close to never with Shanguans- this is coming from a guy with 2K+ games
@@basharmubarak116 Yes, she has all those things because she's essentially an assassin. Assassins do those things. That doesn't give her the top mage spot.

Utility heroes will do
She's pretty hard to use
Skill issue
Not really she's actually quite simple. skill 2, move once, move twice, throw skill 2 or 1 and move 3 times again each beap.
Not really fr. But it just takes a lot of practice
@@Czyb20what about basic attack in between? or using auto run to move without using a stack?

I feel like she is less of a pure mage and more like Mage-Assassin hybrid. She is very odd but cool!
