Great advice mate... "watch out scammers about". Bought a pair of velcro trainers from a dodgy bloke down a side street... they only lasted a week what a RIPOFF they were....(il get mi coit)

@@davidbyrne3369 good question, I would think on those blue and yellow machines there’s probably a small charge like you get with some ATMs. You probably don’t get penalised half as much as those transferring sterling.

I can never understand why people need to exchange money overseas, do it at home!... I just buy 200 euros as backup just in case some places don't take card but for most purchases abroad, I just use my Revolut card/app!... I'll top it up as I go too after I've seen the bill so that I can never get ripped off or double charged by a restaurant or bar!
I think some do it to budget properly. If you take English cash to change and change as you go , you don’t end up with loads of left over euros that way. You also avoid fees at cash machines etc and a lot of places in Benidorm cash is king.

Old town is lovely , if you want a more Spanish feel. It’s a great place overall cause of the variety. It’s a cliche but there’s something for everyone.
Magic advice for ordinary folks like us trying to enjoy time away from the graft and hum drum eh can't fault you lee top man , scammers should be mmm well you know what I mean 😉
Hit the nail on the head Lee,but can i add 2 other things while on the beach,Fruit sellers,Don't buy anything,prepaired in the back of a dirty van,you dont know whats been in the van,any dirt on it will be wiped off,then water poured over it or other clear liquids to make it look fresh&tasty.Other thing to mention is the asian ladies i.e Chinese,askin you if you like massage,if you say yes they will probably want to take you to somewhere away from beach,you will probably have your belongings stolen if you've left some on beach,or you will have it taken off you while having massage,be charged an extortionate price,and the room will probably be unhygienic, and you don't know what oils they are rubbing on your skin.just say a big fat NO too both of these.Stay focused don't be caught out.

If you want total free exchange, use the Kutxabank ATM on Alameda del Alcalde Pedro Zaragoza Orts. And use a card like Starling, Monza or Revout. Withdraw in Euros and decline any conversion. Let your bank do the the work. There's no exchange fees and no service fees.
Its a poor do in life where ever you seem to go now someone or somebody is out to ROB you of your hard earned. MAKES ME BADLY. Biggest laugh is the effort they put into this they may as well go out and get a proper job. WOULDN'T LIFE be great. Enjoying your vids Lee. Haven't done BENIDORM yet. Seems TO HAVE OVERLOOKED ME. @ I just prefer to use card if I can. It’s also cheaper to use a card like Revolut than it is to do foreign currency exchange, and you’re also not left with redundant cash at the end of the holiday that you need to lose money exchanging back again. It’s good to have options for your own personal preferences though.

I would never go to places like Benidorm, it's not Spanish enough. Far too commercialised for me😎 Same with Los Cristianos in Tenerife, the concrete brigade have over developed that now, so that's another place never to visit too. Gaz UK.
I go away about 10 times a year and sometimes I prefer traditional Spanish and quieter places and sometimes I prefer fun and vibrant places like Benidorm, it depends on my mood, there's room for both types of holiday!

Them euoronet cash machines are all over Europe!! Loads in Berlin with extortionate rates AND a charge to use em!! 😮

Love benidorm......we always go to consum supermarket buy there own brand goods cheap as chips ,...them little supermarkets are pure daylight robbery
