SWIMMING BETWEEN CONTINENTS (the clearest water on planet earth)

- Who would have thought you could swim between continents in the country of Iceland?! We head up to Silfra to explore the underwater beauty this fissure has to offer! Filled with glacial water, and at a cool temperature of 2 degrees, we suit up with thermal layers and dry suits to even be able to enter these waters! Silfra sits on top of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, which separates the North American and Eurasian continental plates. After gearing up and entering the water, we realize how unbelievable clear it is! The visibility is quite literally infinite. The green mosses on the rocks contrasted by the deep blues of the water is just surreal. We stay in until our numb faces can't take it anymore! By far one of the "coolest" experiences we've had in Iceland yet!

Love this! Reminds me of when I did it about 5 years ago. I almost chickened out because I thought I would freeze, but it was the most beautiful and peaceful thing I did while in Iceland.

Honestly D & C, I thought you had put a filter on your camera showing those stunning colors of greens and blues. That's what I saw when l looked at your Instagram post. In the UA-cam video it looked so surreal and clarified my impression of what it really looked like. I'm so glad you took the plunge and experienced being in almost freezing glacial water.

That was amazing to watch you guys in that water! I laughed when you were getting suited up and I hollered laughing when you were talking about the snot...hahahahaha! Fast food where I live has gotten crazy expensive. I don't eat it often but I am in shock at the prices every time I do.
