I find it kind of funny they kept the password to Mr. X's fortress with all of the weapons and the extras the same as the original on NES. I'm surprised I still have it memorized after all these years. It was the one Mega Man game I actually owned on the NES so I got to know it pretty well.
This knife weapon obtained from Knight Man is such a great weapon, probably the best (or at least one of the best) fanmade weapons I've seen. (the only change I'd make is it would be draining it's power (from the power bar, I mean) when used even if you don't hit anything (but draining slower than when you hit something, of course), because this way it's like you got some kind of Rush to use for free, unlimited (basically, it lets you fly short distances). It's such a pitty now noone will want to include it in some future real new fanmade games that are not hacks of any kind, because 1.the people will accuse him of stealing and attack him like he killed someone, and 2.even if he could get a permission of the original maker to use that weapon for some brand new Robot Master (Knife Man would be just a perfect name), still noone'd want to use it because now the people will accuse him of copying, not being innovative, not having original ideas and such bullshit, so... due to people's stupidity, such awesome potential Robot Master "Knife Man" and such awesome potential weapon for Mega Man will never come to existence in some real new fangame. Damn it.
I remember in some MM8BDM thread that the creator of Owlboy remade the robot masters from the Megaman DOS games to fit in an official MM game, and one of the results was a Robot Master called Knife Man. I think it was for some update.
