I’m back again reviewing the Kensington Expert Trackball. The trackball is a 4-Button Usb expert mouse with a detachable wrist rest. Do you have a trackball that you normally use with your workstation?
Appreciate this review. The advice to not use it in regular workflow is very "real world", and shows that you were not reviewing in the lab, but out in the wild. I like it. Looking forward to receiving mine and will keep your experiences in mind.

I've been using the kensington trackball for years but within the last couple of days, it's been acting up.. not working, freezing up and finally removing the app and going to reinstall. Thanks for the video and have a great & healthy New Year. G
Thanks for the response George! Happy New Year to you! I’m sorry to hear about your trackball. There’s no real way to reset the trackball. I guess you could reinstall! Let me know if you come across a solution!
Kensington trackballs typically don't have a copy-paste function themselves. Copy-paste functionality is a function of your computer's operating system, and you can use keyboard shortcuts or mouse operations to copy and paste content. On a Windows PC, you can use Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste. On a Mac, you can use Command+C to copy and Command+V to paste. The trackball itself is primarily used for moving the cursor on the screen.
Expanding the timeline with a Kensington trackball is not a standard feature of the device itself. Kensington trackballs are typically used as input devices for controlling your computer's cursor. They do not have the capability to manipulate or expand timelines in the way you might do with software or specific applications. If you're looking to manipulate or expand a timeline in a specific software application or video editing program, you would typically use keyboard shortcuts or specific features within that software. Please provide more details about the software or specific task you have in mind, and I can offer more tailored assistance.
My cousin uses this for his work because he hurt his arm a long time ago. So I know a little bit about it. The only problem for me is the price. Most computer mouse's cost around 10-30 bucks. This one is like $80, and I understand with all of the perks that It would be priced this way. It's probably not the right one for me.
It’s took me a while to purchase it myself because of the price. I would only recommend if someone is working in programs with heavy editing. Thanks for the comment Clara!
That is a great question but unfortunately no, there is not a “double click” shortcut (that l’m aware) Kensington if you’re listening 👀 I think this is a great idea to implement!
You absolutely can. I’m using the wired version (it uses the same software) and I have the “double click” assigned to the upper left button. (You can also assign “drag” [toggle on/toggle off] which I like even more and have assigned to the upper right button.)

Can you assign to a button the "double click" function?

But maybe there is a Windows 10's function to do it, and that's why.

Can you use the trackball to record/draw automation in Logic?
Yes you can. Even though I wouldn’t recommend it.
@@Anvillgroup Why wouldn't you recommend? I'm looking for a simple solution to record smooth automation
@@adamjlipper trackball wheels are too unstable for me in my opinion. I prefer a fader port.
How come you didn't mention the price?
I totally forgot to sorry! The trackball is $83 on Amazon
Umm.. what's the price????
Lol. I’ve seen it as low as $85.00.
