🟢 Summary: Conan and his men help some soldiers repair a bridge so their wagon can cross. The warrioress, Red Sonja, appears and leads them in pursuit of the bandit soldiers, the Hartans, to save a young boy wizard, one of the Keepers of the Truth.

I was in college and every Saturday was pizza night, and this was my guilty pleasure. Back then I was watching it on a 5 inch B&W TV screen. (Hey, poor college kid in the '90s. What did you expect?) The series was never as "savage" as the comic books were, but back then I learned to have lowered expectations towards TV adaptations. Not exactly high art, but it scratched the itch for this Conan fan. This is the first time I'm watching it in color! Fantastic. LOL
..this is so much better than Wheel of Time or Rings of Power.

Angelica Bridges was great as Sonja, played nice. I remember in the OG comics Conan hated Sonja and always called her "demon" or something. Best episode from the show. It was a great character design. Would never be done today

@@BoomerChannel_YT yeah when we watched this in the 90s the acting was on course with the current way tv was depicted for the time and it was entertaining. Roleplaying in a fantasy setting.

Geez, the voicework is atrocious, but this was a decent show.
I think I remember that the guy who played 'Conan' was a bodybuilder that was endorsed by Arnold for playing 'Conan' in this show.
It is german Bodybuilder and Actor Ralf Möller. He was in "Gladiator" and "The Scorpion King".
I love the adventures of Conan (books,movies, shows). I loved this series on tv and was fortunate to get the DVD as well. Have you seen Conan the Adventurer the animated series? I think the Cartoon series was before this one but not terrible for a cartoon.

I never got to see the show when it first aired. My local TV channel would air it on 4 or 5 in the morning during Saturday or Sunday.

@@BoomerChannel_YT I meant the accents and mannerisms are so distinctly American. I remember one watching a movie with wonderful production and sets as it was one of those older Hollywood movies.. And a pretorean suddenly showed up and talked in a Texas accent?!?!?! In an instant the movie was ruined. The conan world has to be removed from typical notions and mannerisms of everyday life to help pull you into that world
