A clear that took 1205 days

- vanguardknights 3 op'd 7-18 around 2 months after it came out on CN in May 2021, but 2 op was definitely a challenge for the class that had subpar stats compared to other classes.
When, Ines came out in CN, I thought that she was the key to solving 7-18 2 op since she has above average damage, faster redeploy and most importantly, a potential map wide bind with s3. But at that time I still had no clue on who to pair with Ines. A few weeks back while I was sharing this idea with Zafang, he suggested Saga Siege. Which actually intrigued me since saga never crossed my mind as the general lane holder. Saga can solely be used to handle the 44 enemies while siege bonks down patriot. It definitely sounded promising at that time and It actually worked out surprisingly well, with attempts getting to phase 2 patriot on many occasions. However attempts stagnated quickly since the EN duo was dying mainly to siegebreaker wave, which was a huge roadblock since the spawning of each siegebreaker was spaced out enough to the point saga cannot take out half the waves with a few S2 bursts.
By this point, I looked at Ines saga, while not having as high of an attack as siege, Ines's S3 sweep can easily clear multiple siegebreakers at once, alleviating a lot of pressure of saga. Turns out that was the key. All I had to do was just map out the Ines s3 deployments to try and hit as much of the problematic enemies( Claw guys, patriot and siegebreakers).
Killing phase 2 patriot was definitely something that proved more of a challenge since I had only 3 mines and also had to worry about the remaining claw guys, but after some testing, I realised Ines can perfectly line up patriot with both claw guys at the end along with saga so only 1 mine is required to deal with them.

I forgot to mention this, the rng(saga dodge) at the siegebreaker wave is pretty specific, basically she has to dodge a a lot towards the end of her talent( can only afford to miss 1 or 2 times). She has to come out of the siegebreaker wave with at around 85 ish % hp to have enough hp to tank all the shots from the peons and the last mortar.

As an avid saga enjoyer, i approb. RNG based mechanics in this game are doodoo dogpoo bottom of the barrel in my opinion, but i still applaud your tenacity to do this clear.

Congratulations, man. This is the most frustrating type of run, where missing the timing by just a lil bit can lose you the run. Meanwhile, I'll still get my ass handed at some stages with a full squad :P

Wow, I should probably use Saga again. For a while, when I first got her, she was must first 6* vanguard, and I used her all the time, but then I got flametail (s3m3), raised myrtle, Cantabile, and had operaters like texalter that just make early game a joke, so i stopped using saga as much.

Second talent puts her in a state that lets her evade physical attacks and heal when she reaches below half health, once per deployment. At pot 1, it’s 75% Max HP over 15 seconds. Pot 5 ups the healing to 102% Max HP over 17 seconds.
I thing the proper title for this video is "This powercreep took 3 years". Like, come on, everyone know how overpowered new operators today, killing Patriot even with 1 of them is hardly an achievement. Recently someone beat this stage with only 3* - thats an achievement
Still is impressive to see since I haven't seen this duo do it yet.
