Thanks for the video. Good tips. I saw my first barn owl ever today. I knew that they were in the area, but up until today I hadn't been lucky enough to see one. As you said in the video, after it has rained for days, is the best time to see one. Tonight was clear and dry so I witnessed it hunting for a few minutes. It felt amazing to see it!!
Absolutely brilliant video. Love your footage footage and stills, and all the advice and tips. Thank you! I know a few places in my area where I am most likely to spot any of three different types of owl, and indeed, photographed a barn owl back in the summer whilst walking the dog one evening. It wasn't bothered by hubby and I, or the dog, at all. Just carried on quartering. During the winter and early spring, there were two short eared owls in the same area, and a little way up the road we have seen a little owl which I also was able to photograph. They are not an everyday sighting by any means, but when they do appear, they are magical to watch!
Thanks so much I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I've photographed short eared owls as well as barn owls but I've not had the chance to photograph little owls. They are certainly on my wish list. Thanks for watching, cheers, Steve.
Thanks very much glad you enjoyed it. Enjoy your trip, the wader spectacular at Snettisham is absolutely brilliant. I'm sure you will love it. There has been a white tailed sea eagle spotted in North Norfolk this week. You never know you might just get lucky. All the best, Steve.
