- “Ahoy Mr Bond”… This boat chase in FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE was originally filmed on location in Turkey but director Terence Young felt the boats were moving too slow, so the sequence was reshot in Scotland. Can you tell?

From Russia With Love is one of my favorite Bond films of all time! The film was so beautifully written and Daniela Bianchi is one of my favorite Bond girls of all. The cinematography in this scene was so good and it is one of my favorite action sequences in this film. One of the greatest Bond films ever made!
Agree 100%
Same here I like that film because I’m a massive 007 fan
Trivia: The late Walter Gotell who played Spectre henchmen Morzeny telling Bond to give up later played General Gogol beginning with The Spy Who Loved Me and ending with The Living Daylights.
My fan theory is, that it could be undercover general gogol, who could be at lower rank at the time, like major or something. Bcz the russians deffinetly had to be after spectre themselves.
@Ian Robert Turner that's not sure. I mean, in general, of course it is not gogol. But in matter of a theory, it could be like that
He could have worked for spectre and later made progress in the russian spy branch.
@@hereitcomes39127😢😮
Walter Gotell also had a prominent part in that magnificent war epic, "The Guns of Navarone."
From Russia With Love is my favourite bond film, there's no outlandish action scenes, no daft gadgets, no one trying to destroy the world, it's just a superior spy film.
Bonjour an tu mets i
i don't like cgi and overdone action scenes, but the action scenes in this clip are just amaturistic as hell.
@@3DPeter you are comparing FRWL to current action movies.
@@3DPeter The fight scene on the train is very realistic (imo). Very reminiscent of defendu taught in WW2.
Early Bond films set the bar so high especially with Connery as 007!
Connery the best bond always a pleasure to watch him.
My favorite Bond movie. As much as I love Goldfinger, I think this is still Connery's best. The aesthetics, action sequences (especially the train fight), performances (Pedro Armendáriz was such a joy to watch), characters, actual espionage focused story - everything was just executed with perfection.
They're both amazing but I do think this film is slightly better.
@@SN2903 This was the late Sean Connery 's favorite James Bond film. I await your reply.
I much prefer From Russia With Love to Goldfinger, even though Goldfinger is generally considered the best of the Connery Bonds.
Daniela Bianchi is my favorite bond girl. The beautiful face with that alluring accent.😍. Plus she saves Bond at the end from the evil knife shoe.👍😄
She got dubbed over by another actress, her Italian accent was considered “too thick”
She's dubbed over
my favorite bond girl!!!😍😍😍
Mine too.more attractive than Ursula Andress
Connery remains the best Bond. "Russia" is also my favorite Bond film.
My favourite Bond film. I love it. From Turkey with love :) ..
Michael Antalya actually this was shot in Scotland. They originally did it in turkey but the boats were going too slow so they reshot in Scotland.
@@joshjohnston5994 I know my friend. Thank you.
I love Istanbul scenes. By the way Belgrad scene was actually in Istanbul, Sirkeci train station, do you know?
Great background settings.Believable story .Classy women...exciting
It's always interesting to see Bond work outside his comfort zone.
Example?
He is more than familiar with boats, guns, etc. than anything, he couldn't be more in his comfort zone
Maybe you can try watching the movies or reading the novels
What?
Meaning?
@@randywhite3947 Bond is in the Royal Navy in addition to MI6. Holds the rank of Commander
One of favorite Bond movie from Russia with love.
One nice thing is the Bond films had girls in them that were unknown to American audiences such as Daniela Bianchi as the Russian girl here. She was 21 and absolutely lovely.
They're all actually g e n d e r inverted s a t a n i s t s. You are looking at dudes.
Best of 60s 🤩🤩🤩😍😍
This is my most favorite Connery's Bond film!!! Top 5 alongside''Casino Royale'', ''The Spy Who Loved Me'', ''Golden Eye'' and ''For Your Eyes Only''.
Great choices for your eyes only is massively underrated
Beautiful music is one of the reasons that made 007 movies successful.
John Barry provided the music score to this one as well as most of the Bond movies. 👍
The stunt at 2:20 looked so dangerous ! It literally exploded at the two men's faces.
Yea, it almost looks like an accident they left in.
James Bond does it again. He gets out of tough situations and gets his girl. 💋💕
if life were only like this.
@@tomloft2000 don't we all wish
That was pretty brutal at the end, those men were literally cooked alive xD
they were fu****** communists, so do not give a damn....
Using WWII German weapons !
dpgth they weren’t communists. They were Spectre agents
Gruesome my wife asked me if I would of screamed if I was one of them I said you would hear me screaming in Timbuktu if I was being fried alive... She laughed and cringed lol
@Nocny Ochroniarz z Choroszczy still would have had full body 3rd degree burns which are potentially fatal especially if they then drown
James Bond: there's a saying in England "where theres smoke theres fire" 😎
Me: 😄
Oh you enjoyed that? You got a kick out of it? You enjoyed that line?
Love the scene …but wonder why the bad guys stopped their boats at the drums than continue on to Bond’s craft. I mean did they think the lecter was hidden in them? 😂😂😂
Back when the Bond movies were not all computer driven stunts. - Sean will always be the #1 Bond
I’m guessing you called it quits after Die another day
Wie so oft die Bond-Filme absolute Sahne. 👍👍👍👍👊👊
Love all 21 movies of 007
Amazing work!!!!!!!!😎😎😎
From Russia with love was an excellent movie.
Great movie 👍
I am the only one who finds the wimpy screams of the men hilariously funny? 😆😆🤣🤣
Yes 🤣I cracked up at a couple of the screams they sounded like my screaming 😂my husband said he would of been screaming the same as those guys if he was being roasted 🤣🤣
I laughed at the screams one sounded like a female 😂
@@gina7288I'm sure I would of screamed the same as those guys if I was being fried
Nice Job MR. Bond.
“You cannot escape. You cannot escape”
Wanna bet?

Nice video keep it up i like it
the best scene of SPECTRE
Love this 😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍
They felt the heat!!
From Russia with love was the best
Yeah.
2:07 Bond Blast the Morzeny Team.
There is a saying in playwriting that if a gun is shown in Act One, then someone needs to be dead by Act Two. In this case, when I saw those fuel drums in the back of Bond's boat, I knew they'd be used to start a fire.
If James has a car, it must be destroyed.
Chekov's Gun.
My favorite Bond film.. Decades later, I now live in Russia, mostly because of this movie.. Yes, I know none of it was actually shot in Russia.. I suppose Tatiana made an impression on this then 8 year old lad.. and yes, I know she’s actually Italian.. Anyway, the screenwriter wrote her character perfectly.. Russian girls are still very much like that, usually.. let’s not talk about the four gas barrels, but the 12 explosions.. ;-)
These scenes were filmed in Scotland ,a film crew much easier to shoot than going to Turkey
And that is how you make lemonade out of lemons (turning a bad situation into an advantage).
You’re trapped mr bond you’re trapped
You cannot escape you cannot escape
Yeah right.
Yeah
I love it
Looks interesting
interesting video
The boat chase could have used some music - perhaps the same music (007 theme by John Barry) from Moonraker?
2:15 What A Warm Goodbye! 🔥
Great movie
impossible shot but highly entertaining.
Bond always bond!!!
I survived and became leader of the KGB
and later an ambassador for the soviet union in "the living daylights"
Walter goltier
Da.
I bet it was major gogol (major at the time), and he was undercover. Bcz the russians were pretty sure after spectre themselves.
This world needs a hero and their actions tell the hero they are very impressed.
GREAT
Why is it the best bond movie? Because it depicts the real life spy game aroundvthe globe among the intelligence and terror.
Nice movie
From Russia with love is me favourite bond film
Captain Ramius as young...
This scene was kinda confusing for me. Couldn't tell if it was Spectre chasing Bond
At 2:20, that was some risky shit.. I hope he got a bonus for that..
My favourite 😍 ❤️ 💕
Filmed in Scotland on the west coast of the helicopter and boat scenes. 😊
Now would be "With love from China" 😀
Staring Steve Bannon, on a 28 million boat, with ... ohh not a Bond girl, but a Bond boy.
As they say in England where the smoke does fire
Nice
A micro-manager meets his fate.
This looks better in 5.1 DTS sound.
I think that the boat Bond is driving was the Fairey Huntress...if you pay attention the middle boat of the chase squad is also a Fairey huntress...
Plz upload some Bond films ....so that we can enjoy a lot....
There are plenty of clips of Bond films most of the clips from each movie are uploaded just have to look them up not too hard.
James Bond is securing Indian british PM.... Proud
"The dwarf has played his little trick. He can only play it once."
Oh, wait
RIP Sean Connery!
Very oldschool
There's a saying in England, Where there's smoke there's fire
When there's smoke..... there's Ganja man. 😆
Or "A nice little firework. We've heat them up quite a bit."
Interesting
This is the most impressive think you could do with 2 shots of a gun
It was a Webley&Scott 1'' flair gun...
Sana full movie naman ang james bond salamat
Possibly the least-convincing and most dangerous stunt scene in any Bond film. Even as a child I knew four barrels of gas could not create 10 separate simultaneous pyrotechnic explosions.
Always Always James Bond The Russia With Love Very Good Beautiful , Action , Love , The Train Turchia - Yugslavia - Itaty(Venezia).
2:16 so badass.
When police fire on Bond's boat drum doesn't caught fire, but when Bond fire drums in lake they immediately caught fire, what rubbish
I mean, trying to make bond make sense is absurd ... But on this one occasion, the po-po were using bullets whereas Bond was using a flaregun ... only one of those includes fire ... so there's some logic there.
Whilst you are probably correct about that particular sequence being rubbish but hang on a minute & don't get your balls in a twist as you have so obviously forgotten that this is sheer & pure entertainment & not a bloody documentary where the facts need to be correct!!
It's also called escapism if you know what that word means??? (yeah right)
If you want the real McCoy go & watch a boring documentary instead of this escapism!! Understandee de englishee???
My fan theory is, that morzeny could be undercover general gogol, who could be at lower rank at the time, like major or something. Bcz the russians deffinetly had to be after spectre themselves.
'2' shots out of a single shot flare gun... Can't you writers do BETTER?
Q branch. 🤣
This is the original james bond
2:05 This works only in movies!
This is Gangplank’s E
The replay shot is great and all, but very out of place with the rest of the film.
Myth busters.
Russian "Commander" tying to micro manage his fleet. Hahahahahahahaha.
A flare gun that can hold two flares in the chamber? 🤔
From Russia with hate.
In real life nobody falls in that trick.
from russia with onions.
Why where they carrying so many barrels of gasoline ?
I guess they had a long way to go & at speed, your fuel consumption is naturally going to be a lot higher!! dah!! dah & dah!! I'm presuming your'e 12 years of age is that right??
So brutal for 1963 i guess so.
They had more of a campy tone
The cold war had its warmer moments.
Trivial matters
Sean Connery is greatest bond ever and set icon name James Bond 007.
In my view there were only two James Bond: Sean Connery and Roger Moore.
Roger Moore? You must be joking.
@@Altair-IV No, I'm not
Fair enough, opinions and all that. If you liked RM then fine. Didn't mean to offend 👃
Dah, Jadi Adikk
1:58 its a surprise that james bond didn't think of it.
Man that dude with the megaphone was sure annoying.
no great acting included...
Stop stalling and release No Time to Die!!
Its been re-shot because of poor test screenings.
Talia Mason your kidding my little
They cant release it all the cinemas are closed!
Clover Mark no shit Sherlock, it’s a joke calm down
