You were so nice to return my comments of earlier. Everytime I watch your videos, with Mike and the rest of your friends, I know I'm going to learn something new. The background you supply on your findings is fantastic. Again, thank you for doing what you do and please, please extend my sincere gratitude to those that accompany you on your trips.
17:30 ..... Incredible, just incredible !! .... I have one of these, but bought it through a dealer, you gave this one light after 70 years in the darkness. For me, this is priceless. So enjoying your work, thanks.
Amazing to see so many WW2 artefacts just buried 30cm under ground that has been sitting there ever since... How come no one checked these grounds decades ago for these items ?
@@mdww2battlegrounds It is so little compared to the dangerous work you do in trying to preserve a period of mankind’s worst deeds in history. You aren’t given enough recognition for this type of work. Especially giving those who fell in battle the respect they deserved by a proper burial. It has to give you the ultimate and saddest feeling at the same time you’ve found those lost by time. And the family’s who’s loved ones surly have passed now, without ever knowing you found their son, brother or father. That is extremely sad in seeing you’ve found a missing hero’s bones and the body of someone who didn’t want to be there to start with. Happy new year gents.👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
1939 was stamped on most medals permanently. As that’s the year the war started, and it’s celebrated. The same way the WWI medals had 1914 stamped on them no matter what year.
wow just wow. amazing that after all these years you still can find things in great condition. i love your videos there amazing you bring us there with you fantastic. you both are so lucky to be able to do this i would love to be able to go there and find a bit of history too. so thanks guys really looking forward to seeing your next video
It's amazing how these objects are still intact and recognisable after more than seven decades. Speaks volumes of the workmanship in that pre computer and digital age.
Mahesh kumar well,I can tell you more:I have a rifle which is currently operational and runs great, though it was buried for 102 years since it was lost in year 1915 until it was found in year 2017!So,as the round was chambered and it had the muzzle cap-that preserved it's bore and chamber absolutely intact. And I swear it is now completely operational and I am firing it literally like if it was from warehouse!
Another great video! :-D You see?... Horseshoes bring luck!!!! Sooo many cool finds.. just crazy! So exciting to open up a container like that, you never know what's inside! Really love that KVK, between the horseshoes, haha!! Thanks for sharing these amazing finds! Gr Nick
Now that was a great dig, not too many livestock artifacts to be found ,that war merit cross is awesome, very well done, have you ever been to Belgium? There's 2 junkyards or were, found a Panter D/T with a VW on it's turret, a lot of shot up U.S.vehicles, howitzer tracked vehicles, 3/4 tons, jeeps, 2 1/2 tons etc...
Any metal you brush with brass bristles will get a coat of brass on it,giving it a brassy or golden color. It is a process called burnishing. A stiff plastic brush will not change the color of metals..
Warning: I was stationed in West Germany from 1977-1980. World War II unexploded ordnance was being found, sometimes the hard way, (KABOOM.) Digging up old battlefields can be dangerous. Don't die in a war that ended decades before you were born!
Although fairly dangerous, these rounds are unlikely to detonate and its highly unlikely youd be able to get one to detonate by throwing it. However in theory one of thse could detonate at any time, they quite often do explode during forest fires.
That was what I was thinking ! Even WWII HISTORY HUNTER is careful around them and he notifies the authorities about them to have them deposed of correctly !
Even if you know a lot about old amo it is tricky, but these kids appear to don know a lot about them, so they take a high risk holding unstable ordinance. Let's hop they do not encounter fosfor bullets or bombs.
It's somewhat interesting to me that so many military artifacts from Germany and the allied armies during the war were stamped with a date. I wonder how many non military/civilian products were also marked in this way at the time? I would guess fewer, but why? Thoughts?
I know this is an older video.. I am currently binge watching your channel. What do you do with the objects you find, rebury, sell or donate to museums..or your own? Great work though, especially the editing and added information. Even the music is good. Kudos guys.
Wow you are so lucky to find so much history I'm glad you say pulling them out and preserving them do you display them at your house or do you donate them to somewhere I would love to have a couple of relics of World War 2 because of their history would have been scary and exciting times back then but we need to preserve this history so we can learn by it and hopefully not make the same mistakes
I am wondering if the explosives could be still working... aren't u afraid to activate by mistake some detonator during your trips? I'd love to do some metal detecting but I fell uncomfortable by the chance to find a bomb.
Amazing that that rusted, deformed rifle found in the dirt, was the only thing that its long departed owner had to keep him alive! Ashes to Ashes, dust to dust!
My grandfather fought Vietnam as a marine and at one point was one of the people who patrol the tomb of the unknown soldiers, and since war criminals were kept there, he found in the dirt a nazi pin and still has it.
That was an interesting one I thought gas wasn't used anymore after the atrocities of WW1. But crazy they somehow got horses to wear gas masks and goggles lol pretty cool. Nice finds though that leather pouch looked amazing for being on top of the earth for damn near 80 years!! Guess better than underground.
After you report the 'dangerous finds', mortar rounds etc, do the authorities try to explode them? I would guess they try and certainly in a safe area, do they get them to explode or do they just blow apart due to the external explosive? Are there any 'live' ones that react? Who owns the property that you go hunting in? Also, great video! Thanks!

At 4:44 so you not see the rest of the zunderbuchse in the dirt!?!
Gem Jake it seems he missed the rest!
that's what i noticed too
Gem Jake it’s not the rest it is just the outline of it we’re it has sat in the soil
Exactamente eso Hiba a comentar 👍
I thought the same but if you look closely it's just a stick and dirt
that medal is easily one of the coolest finds

How much
Well done buddy. Good job on the editing again.
Iron Mike Metaldetecting jij bent Nederlands toch? Komt er ook nog een video van jou online?
MJ Van Den Berg berg ja hoor! Komt eraan. Bezig met editen, ws dit weekend is het wel af.
Thank you for the cleanup & English text. That iron cross medal is awesome. Watching more older videos.
GEEEEzusssss!!! The way these guys just clunk around with their shovels!!! My mind is exploding almost like some of their finds should have.
Cringe...
Be careful what you run that shovel into....BOOM.
Jesters Dead - just guessing it’s been too long for relics to be dangerous .
That’s why they handle the stuff now . 4/6/20
most all the mines they dig up have the safety on, or are so old and rusted they could only blow up if someone really wanted them too.
Amazing to see so many WW2 artefacts just buried 30cm under ground that has been sitting there ever since... How come no one checked these grounds decades ago for these items ?
Brilliant and well done to all involved, especially the subtitles opens your hard work to a whole new audience.
Thanks a lot for your appreciation!

7:28 there is a face on the tree
Wow
It's gotta be incredibly eerie to detect battlefields at night time.
That is so so cool. What an amazing way to bring history to life.
Danke das ihr so schön mit dem Zeug umgeht :) weiter so :)
4:43 you forgot the rest of the canister under that lid
Seems like quite a rare medal, seeing as how it was in the first year of the war before it was really even considered a world war
1939 was stamped on most medals permanently. As that’s the year the war started, and it’s celebrated. The same way the WWI medals had 1914 stamped on them no matter what year.
I could watch your videos for hours! Great job and be careful out there!
the way you dig up and manipulate military ammunition is crazy ! one day I will have a prayer for you !!!

Also take a look at videos of WW2 History Hunter - it's similar. Thank you for this great and interesting footage and finds. History is everywhere

Apparently they do! Found like 20 of them haha. That had to be enough. Thanks for watching & responding!

Very nice finds again, keep it up guys 👌👍😲💥😲💥😲💥
Wow the medal. At the end was an epic find nice work

pretty unique finding gas mask for horse of that shape, first time i see em. Good find !

Awesome and in a same time, dangerous relics. Thanx for sharing and keep going! God Bless!
Seriously incredible finds.
INSANE! U guys are so entertaining!
@Zdilslaw Copernicus bruh i commented that 2 years ago
Are you worried about blowing up at all? You seem really calm handling those mortars. 😱
Although fairly dangerous, these rounds are unlikely to detonate and its highly unlikely youd be able to get one to detonate by throwing it.

Thank u guys for another good video about WW2 history/relics !
Horse gas mask. horseshoes, medal. I'll bet if you look close you'll find the bones of the horse and the bones of the guy who was riding it.
I’m not sure there was causality counts and bodies were carried out
YOU MISSED SOMETHING AT 4:43 WHEN YOU LIFTED THAT UP THERE WAS SOMETHING UNDER IT
Dylan Weldon I’m pretty sure that’s a little root, and the imprint of the lid, not something else
Wow, amazing finds. 👌🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🖐 from 🇦🇺
ik weet niet waarom ik dit kijk, maar het is wel geinig
There is so much unexploded ordinance on those old battlefields and buildings that it is not worth the trouble to dig up. Unless, you are suicidal.
Even if you know a lot about old amo it is tricky, but these kids appear to don know a lot about them, so they take a high risk holding unstable ordinance. Let's hop they do not encounter fosfor bullets or bombs.
Wow that medal is Amazing!
mein Herz geht auf wenn ich sowas sehe👍😍
amazing finding
18:34 what solution you used to clean the medal?
Outstanding video.
It's somewhat interesting to me that so many military artifacts from Germany and the allied armies during the war were stamped with a date. I wonder how many non military/civilian products were also marked in this way at the time? I would guess fewer, but why? Thoughts?
maybe they expired
That is very interesting with the Danish coin there. Could the Danish Waffen SS have been fighting on this ground? Cheers, good content.
Amazing how these items have migrated into the soil over the decades.
immediately recognized the coin. odd to see it there. someone's lucky coin from home?

Who else got kinda pissed and saw the container to the zunderbusche lid
Why were you pissed?
Me I was so triggered
I thought for sure they would set the lid down and then go to pick the rest up but nope :(
Why is everyone commenting about this? There was a jumpcut immediately proceeding it, how do you know they didn't go back for it?
