Just leaving a comment for newer players: Using the GE now requires you to have played for more than 20 hours and to have 10 quest points and 100 total skill level, so ignore the suggestion of using the GE early on. The goblin mail sets can be gotten very easily by searching some of the crates mentioned in the quest, which will also save you valuable early-game gp.
As soon as you get off tutorial island you should bank all items, then complete the quests Cooks Assistant, Sheep Shearer, Restless Ghost and Misthlian Mystery. All of those quests take place within the starting area of the game, and don't require any items that you have to purchase.

@@joesiah693 the OSRS wiki is a great help, it doesn't actually take very long to get strong enough to do Dragon Slayer, and the route he talks about is pretty efficient. You literally do what he says, and you sort of learn as you go, RuneScape is a very simple MMORPG.
For pures, skip step one, loot some bones on the way to grand exchange, sell bones on G.E, buy food and start step 3-6. Then woodcut until 35/36 woodcutting, burn logs until 20 firemaking and sell the rest of the logs/oak logs on G.E. Buy leather and get crafting to 31 ( might have to kill some cows of you can't afford buying them). Do knights sword, restless ghost/Ernst the chicken if you want Ava's, vampire slayer if you want attack levels and demon slayer for RFD. Only train magic in f2p most other stats will be trained in members. 😃
Pures are build that typically focus on one combat skill while leaving all other skills alone to gain an advantage on ppl at your level when pking (player killing) for example if i wanted a str att pure i would only level strength attack and stay away from any defense and any other combat stats. Some players will mix different pures and stats into builds to make things a little more diverse.It just depends on the player; however, there are very bad builds so maybe try looking some up if you would consider making a pure.

my own main goal when i started playing in 2007 was to do all non member quests and made sure i trained combat skills to 60 before i got member and offhand skills where in the 40/50. it worked out well for me

I think it's worth noting, you can run to the luttle gym in varrock and hit dummies til lvl 8 attk, Then you could knock ot a few quest on your way to the stronghold of security
I just did a bunch of quests as a member to bypass most of this. The waterfall quest gets you to lvl 30 strength and attack from lvl 1. Which you can reasonably do without too much issue around lvl 10 stats all around. Though I did do mine at lvl 1 with some difficulty. Oh and RNG.
Honestly my strat would be to grab a bunch of runes and a wind/fire staff, and go do witches house as your first quest (Detouring for imp catcher and Witches potion if you want to spend the time or money to clear them). You can safespot all versions of the monster and kill it with magic, which then gives you enough HP to have the confidence to run stuff like waterfall quest, merlin's crystal/holy grail, fight arena, and the aforementioned waterfall quest. Having an extra 16 HP makes a world of difference because you go from dying in one hit to having a little bit of wiggle room.
It takes some time, but either leveling runecrafting or selling items for the runes to cast confusion/bind/curse in full metal armor, and leveling magic that way, it's quite fast and you can do it by splashing skeletons across the wilderness ditch
Honestly, I almost feel like the best trick would be to get a membership straight away and use it to do quests like fight arena, waterfall quest, merlins crystal/holy grail, and so on. You can cleave through a bunch of quests with either zero or very low requirements that should tons of your skills up to 30 or 40 within a day or so. Once you've done this, you can potter around and decide if membership is for you or not, but getting a 13,000xp injection means so much more when you're level 1 in a skill then when you're level 30. Once your membership runs out, you can then cruise for a bit and simply chill out and experiment with your established baseline of stats

For a pure stay in lumbrridge kill goblins and imps imo beads sell for like 7k each on the ge chef hats 1k and goblin chains about 1k easily the best starter cash for a 1 defence pure as with lack of defence there is really nowhere you can train efficient in f2p use bat for stater cash/levels then suicide train and jail guards near dreynor for 40 attack and about 50 strength then get ranged up at hillgiant safe spots then basically the best way to earn xp from there in in free to play for a pure is by pking start around 40 combat point range-2h is very good at that level

Gathering bones for the demon slayer quest using wind/water strike (assuming you have completed witch's potion) will get you the required mage level to cast earth strike. Using wines from fortunado you can easily kill count draynor.
you can just get the 3 goblin mails that are in crates, sacks, etc. around the camp. to save gp if you wanna save the small bit lol. and it takes two minutes just searching everything in the camp. 30s if you know the 3 locations.
Remake this for Hardcore Ironman accounts and regular Ironman accounts. The combat stats can get insta-30 or so from doing Waterfall quest in members. Which is good for regular accounts imo, promoting getting membership ASAP.

Quest points are super easy to get. I got 5 QP just from Romeo & Juliet alone. What pisses me off is the mandatory 20 hours of gameplay. I started an account with my girlfriend and the wait to trade with her is unbearable.
Im interested in HCIM for the channel, but it shouldn't be something that replaces your normal kind of videos. It should be something you add as well as a normal kind of video either that same day or very very soon after.
This is lovely for most new players but veterans coming back like used had membership from rs3 they do stack I found that up till base 20 is most of everything than chaos Druids for big bank worked amazingly for me.
Lvl 3 off island. First thing do all novice free to play quests. Log out, get membership for one month. Rush all membership quests with no/low reqs that give shit ton of xp. For the remainder of membership. Focus on fletching iron/steel arrows and making money to buy out wildy rune shop of nature and law runes. Once membership runs out. Rush 99 str or 99 range.
what i'd do is first get to level 44 runecrafting, 60+ in all combat stats. then become member and just craft nature runes they'll be 500 k gold a hour just 5-10 hours and you've got enough for a bond. And also i'd just focus on agility, mining and runecrafting (this is if you want to be semi efficient, untill you have good gear, slaying cerberus or killing zulrah is bad money per hour, so your best bet is just to craft nature runes for profit in the begining untill you've got some of a good economy. getting it to level 99 will give you roughly 300-500 million of gold to play around with that's enough to get a few skills to 99 thru buyables or have good enough gear for slaying + cball each task etc.

I would be interested in a hcim series, however, set some sort of goal like anti pk status or some sort of high lvl slayer status such as 100 cb and then once you hit that goal, hit the next stage of the series by doing wilderness slayer only with the new slayer update. if you die you can then turn the series into a failed ironman series. just some thoughts i would be interested in seeing.
how to do this: get a shear. shave 20 sheep. craft into balls. then go to dukey and ask for a quest. now hand in the ball of wool and head off to draynor. start vampire slayer. and head into wizard tower. now u are tasked to go to varrock for 3 things. mage shop get the package. pub talk to doctor there to get a stake for vampire. then u can proceed to barbarian for the easy cash. but first pick up fish. everyone fishes there and just drops good fish.
I would say, collect a heck of a lot of resources before switching over to p2p too. Because then you won't have to worry about collecting those resources once you become p2p.
Excpt you can get 40 att and 31 str just questing in p2p, and you can do winterTodt (correct spelling here) to 99 firemaking with 10 hp really easy and cheap.
Next video you should make is on the best amulets. People Really try to argue that the Ammy of Torture is better than the fury or that the glory is better than the fury because of teleports. LET THEM KNOW THAT THE FURY AMULET IS GOD.
The funny thing is that i have base 50 in all stats exept prayer , smithing and runecrafting but i dont have members because i dont have enough money i did ogresses for a week and only got 1.5mil out of the needed 4mil so i just put a guilded armor piece and now i am hoping it flips so i could get 1 mil profit but for now i quit and now i am playing rs3

Can you do an F2P Ironman to members video. That would be extremely useful for people who want to start an ironman but don't have the money for membership or a bond.
If you're still interested, get a main and make the money for a bond on the main. You can buy a bond on the g.e. and hand it to your iron man, but iron men can't use the g.e.

That restriction was only ever for selling certain items. If you're buying, you can buy literally anything on a brand new account assuming you can afford it.
I think you should do vamp slayer earlier to get 1-20 attack instantly =p I used fire strike to beat the guy pretty easily but just what i usually do im sure this works fine as well!
Honestly get your f2p stats all to 50+ its slower training then you would get it with member but its so worth it just do the f2p quests you dont really need to train att and str just do the other stats and then when you all set get your member do waterfall quest and you already on 30att and 30str and you just saved yourself from hitting 0 for countless of hours on goblins Then you can train a little for the dragon slayer quest And then when you got it you either can do alot of quests to get alot of xp and tps etc or start money making and its so easy to make money go to blue dragons alot of people do their slayer task there and kill dragons and dont pick up the bones so you can pick up bones its an easy 200k/hr Or go to pvp worlds and pick up the rests of food etc whatever people leave behind its also a nice 100 to 200k and hour
Why do dragon slayer? Rather just don't do it, go for fighter torso instead and make NMZ much easier, and NMZ is great training and good rewards. Elvarg is just a hassle in it, since you either swap shields or gimp yourself to a basic AD shield. But do it until you get anti dragon shield if you are ironman, it is VERY important. Other quests are important, mainly for QP, but some XP is really nice (knight's sword) Little news: For money do cowhides. Limps are dead now with member drop updates. 45 WC -> Maples. You cut it so you can fletch them until you set up your kingdom. (stock up on other logs while training to it) 48 Fish if you just want to train it fast. Barb fishing is great XP, and if you go for 99 off the bat you also get 70 Str and Agility aswell for free. It's not exciting, but taking a few days off to get food supplies up is great in the long run, so you don't have to constantly buy or stop to get some. In f2p you can just fish at barb village and bank at varrock west. Get a stock of few thousand fish to start off your members food reserve. Between these you should train ranged at blue dragons, buy tablets and bank the bones and hides at fally to buy your next bond.
High quality video. You should make a p2p I totally agree, but maybe put in the waterfall quest. This isn't very time efficient. A time efficiency video for new p2p accounts. Thus getting a broader audience.
Interesting you recommend a rune scimitar for Elvarg, but the dragon has a weakness to stab so wouldn't a posioned dagger be better? I don't know the answer but just some stuff I've read.

Get 13 magic and fire strike the vampire. The quest rewards you with a free 1-20 attack, allowing you to train with a mithril scimitar from the get-go. I'd suggest slapping P2P on it from the start and doing Witch's House & Waterfall Quest for free 10-24 hitpoints and 1-30 attack & strength. Doric's Quest, Knight's Sword & 10 Fletching for Tourist Trap requirements, which will give you XP rewards that can boost agility from 1-26 allowing you to do The Grand Tree. Couple this with Fight Arena & Tree Gnome Village and you'll get 1-44 attack, 1-30 strength, and 1-32 agility quested from scratch within a few hours of account creation. Grinding out 1-43 prayer at the wilderness altar at a low combat level is extremely beneficial as well.

Syzygy was first to be full 99 in f2p I'm pretty sure and had first for 200m a few skills for f2p

I would recommend avoiding runecrafting completely except rune mysteries quest. There are member quests that boost that alot.

I would be interested in a hcim series, however, set some sort of goal like anti pk status or some sort of high lvl slayer status such as 100 cb and then once you hit that goal, hit the next stage of the series by doing wilderness slayer only with the new slayer update. if you die you can then turn the series into a failed ironman series. just some thoughts i would be interested in seeing.
I actualy miss f2p back in the day when all my class mates where f2p because none could pay trough bank.
how to do this: get a shear. shave 20 sheep. craft into balls. then go to dukey and ask for a quest. now hand in the ball of wool and head off to draynor.
start vampire slayer. and head into wizard tower. now u are tasked to go to varrock for 3 things.
mage shop get the package. pub talk to doctor there to get a stake for vampire. then u can proceed to barbarian for the easy cash. but first pick up fish.
everyone fishes there and just drops good fish.

I would say, collect a heck of a lot of resources before switching over to p2p too. Because then you won't have to worry about collecting those resources once you become p2p.
Excpt you can get 40 att and 31 str just questing in p2p, and you can do winterTodt (correct spelling here) to 99 firemaking with 10 hp really easy and cheap.
An HCIM series could definitely add more variety to your channel and bring in a bigger audience. Go for it!
Next video you should make is on the best amulets. People Really try to argue that the Ammy of Torture is better than the fury or that the glory is better than the fury because of teleports. LET THEM KNOW THAT THE FURY AMULET IS GOD.

The funny thing is that i have base 50 in all stats exept prayer , smithing and runecrafting but i dont have members because i dont have enough money i did ogresses for a week and only got 1.5mil out of the needed 4mil so i just put a guilded armor piece and now i am hoping it flips so i could get 1 mil profit but for now i quit and now i am playing rs3

Can you do an F2P Ironman to members video. That would be extremely useful for people who want to start an ironman but don't have the money for membership or a bond.

If you're still interested, get a main and make the money for a bond on the main. You can buy a bond on the g.e. and hand it to your iron man, but iron men can't use the g.e.

Why would I do any of this when I can just go P2P do waterfall quest, tree gnome stronghold, etc. to get high combat stats?

I tried doing F2P, it's awful. Better off spending a few bucks for a month of membership than doing any of this.

Because there are F2P things that aren't much faster in P2P. 1-40 F2P woodcutting is pretty much identical to P2P early wc, for example.

just completed all quests as ironman with 20 att and str killing dragon took a while but it was fun and rewarding :D

That restriction was only ever for selling certain items. If you're buying, you can buy literally anything on a brand new account assuming you can afford it.

I think you should do vamp slayer earlier to get 1-20 attack instantly =p I used fire strike to beat the guy pretty easily but just what i usually do im sure this works fine as well!

Honestly get your f2p stats all to 50+ its slower training then you would get it with member but its so worth it just do the f2p quests you dont really need to train att and str just do the other stats and then when you all set get your member do waterfall quest and you already on 30att and 30str and you just saved yourself from hitting 0 for countless of hours on goblins
Then you can train a little for the dragon slayer quest
And then when you got it you either can do alot of quests to get alot of xp and tps etc or start money making and its so easy to make money go to blue dragons alot of people do their slayer task there and kill dragons and dont pick up the bones so you can pick up bones its an easy 200k/hr
Or go to pvp worlds and pick up the rests of food etc whatever people leave behind its also a nice 100 to 200k and hour
Why do dragon slayer? Rather just don't do it, go for fighter torso instead and make NMZ much easier, and NMZ is great training and good rewards. Elvarg is just a hassle in it, since you either swap shields or gimp yourself to a basic AD shield.
But do it until you get anti dragon shield if you are ironman, it is VERY important.
Other quests are important, mainly for QP, but some XP is really nice (knight's sword)
Little news: For money do cowhides. Limps are dead now with member drop updates.
45 WC -> Maples. You cut it so you can fletch them until you set up your kingdom. (stock up on other logs while training to it)
48 Fish if you just want to train it fast. Barb fishing is great XP, and if you go for 99 off the bat you also get 70 Str and Agility aswell for free. It's not exciting, but taking a few days off to get food supplies up is great in the long run, so you don't have to constantly buy or stop to get some. In f2p you can just fish at barb village and bank at varrock west. Get a stock of few thousand fish to start off your members food reserve.
Between these you should train ranged at blue dragons, buy tablets and bank the bones and hides at fally to buy your next bond.
High quality video. You should make a p2p I totally agree, but maybe put in the waterfall quest. This isn't very time efficient. A time efficiency video for new p2p accounts. Thus getting a broader audience.

Interesting you recommend a rune scimitar for Elvarg, but the dragon has a weakness to stab so wouldn't a posioned dagger be better? I don't know the answer but just some stuff I've read.

As a kid back in 2006 my dad said if I wanted membership i needed to do all of the f2p quests and have at least 30 or 40 in each free skill
My dad said why the fuck you playing video games for, play outside. So I never got far. But now that I can play without restrictions now almost have a full set of bronze armor

Get 13 magic and fire strike the vampire. The quest rewards you with a free 1-20 attack, allowing you to train with a mithril scimitar from the get-go.
I'd suggest slapping P2P on it from the start and doing Witch's House & Waterfall Quest for free 10-24 hitpoints and 1-30 attack & strength. Doric's Quest, Knight's Sword & 10 Fletching for Tourist Trap requirements, which will give you XP rewards that can boost agility from 1-26 allowing you to do The Grand Tree. Couple this with Fight Arena & Tree Gnome Village and you'll get 1-44 attack, 1-30 strength, and 1-32 agility quested from scratch within a few hours of account creation.
Grinding out 1-43 prayer at the wilderness altar at a low combat level is extremely beneficial as well.
do this i did this saved me alot of time i was getting killed by the cows because id afk and they would bring my health low because it took so long to kill the cows
basically the first steps you want to take are getting 99 in all stats and then you should have enough gp to buy a bond, good luck
