Another nice video Mike and in another great location. Yes, Val was certainly a handful for you today Mike and I have the same problem with mine sometimes. Thank you both for the banter.
A very happy video - that last diesel train did look immaculate & the station is also looking top-notch. Yes I noticed the weeds at Minehead too- perhaps they are working their way down the line finishing weeding at Minehead?
Thanks for those positive comments re the condition of Crowcombe. Good to hear. I will add that the track within station limits is clear of weeds due to the efforts of the regular station work party who hand weed their patch. Back breaking work, but good to hear it’s appreciated. :-)
Double track lines operated with the manual electric block regime. Good evening, it is not yet entirely clear to me whether those old electric block systems (Absolute block system, if I am not mistaken) with a wooden case were or were not influenced by the passage of trains for the purpose of occupying and freeing the section (block) towards to which and from which the train was respectively headed or from which the train came. Furthermore, it is not clear whether there is an electrical connection between the lever that controls the opening of the starting signal and the apparatus with wooden case. In other words, was it possible to pull the lever that activated the starting signal towards you without first having received electrical consent from the next station? However, it is common ground that where there is a token block it is possible to activate the lever that opens the starting signal even before having handed over the token to the driver, unless there is an error on my part. Thank you very much for your availability and collaboration
her indoors in a very jovial mood don't know what she has been taking but i will have some very tidy station no weeds nice gardens very pleasant day out
I think you ought to give Val a new name: Little Miss Mischief. You didn't tell me she had the nature of a mischievous cat, lol. Nice to see Odney Manor running. There was once a lady Who had a mischievous nature. Her name was Valerie And Admiral Scorner decided to marry her. The wedding was held Onboard a 7-coach train. Although the pair didn't see her, Foxcote Manor was willing to take the strain. "Where have you taken me?" Asked Admiral Scorner, in a puzzled way. Mischievous Val replied, "Wait and see." The young man soon saw he and his wife were riding on the West Somerset Railway. When Admiral Scorner wasn't looking, Val sneaked up behind and kissed him on the cheek. Admiral Scorner was wondering what sort of dish might be cooking, While Val finished off his share of pie-filled ham and leek.

Yes can't help it sometimes Terry. Admiral can sometimes be too quiet so someone has to jolly him along now and again!

I've done that myself in the past when a volunteer. I know its very hard work!

Another enjoyable video Mike. GLAD THAT YOU ARE ENJOYING THE fine weather0
Its so good to get some sunshine again!
Volunteers have done an excellent job repainting the diesel(s), as you informed us in the previous video. CH a lovely looking station, but isolated.
We once stayed B&B there and thought what a great place to live!

She is being fed with lots of tennis on TV with The Paris Open on all day on Eurosport, so that makes her happy!
Must get it right Admiral. Correct name is the French Open!
Mike what is the latest on Welsh coal supplies to WSR Are supplies good , are supplies able to continue .or are things getting bad .Cheers
I believe all coal mining in the UK has ceased now and all coal is imported. I haven't heard of any real supply difficulties.

Well done with the poem Kelly.
Wow Kelly. Really love the poem, well done. Wish I could write poems like that!
My god Val was in good form today 🤣😂😂... what did you put in her coffee this morning 🤣🤣... never known her so chatty ..!
I shall have to reduce the dosage!
@@ADMIRALSCORNER hahaha.... have some yourself .... give Val a surprise 😂🥹
You two are never in these days. When do you find time to do the washing up and the vaccing.😂
Oh dear washing gets done now and again and the vaccing is usually Mike's job, not very often!
