  • Hey you Spooncarvers and Bushcrafters!
I took some time off, but back in the game.
Today´s spoon is special. I made the first one of these years ago, based on the idea to combine square and flowing handle transitions and dubbed it Jekyll&Hyde as it represents two approaches.
Not enough though, this one features a ton of hollowed surfaces and deco details to explore without losing functionality.

This spoon is unbelievable... words can not explain how good it is. Every corner shows another technique. From design to colour to well thought out little lines, bumps and valleys. You sir, are the real deal.

Is it best to carve fresh cut wood or dried out wood?

Both possible. Depends on what you want to achieve. Check this out: boon.tv/woodsmansfinest

It’s a pleasure to follow you on your artistic road. Your spoons are more and more elaborate without looking over complex or over decorated and they are always functional. Yet, you never had exploited as much the 3 dimensions to present so many different views and different technics. The art is to maintain unity and grace in the flow of lines and decorations; mission accomplished . Chapeau! 👏
