Asteroid Explodes Over Philippines Hours After Being Discovered

- On September 5, 2024, a bright fireball lit up the skies over the northern Philippines as a small asteroid, named 2024 RW1, burned up in the atmosphere. It was discovered just a day earlier by the Catalina Sky Survey, a project run by the University of Arizona and funded by NASA.

Saw it as it happened...Glad that we read an update about the exact time(12:39 am) and place on where to look at minutes before it happened and lo and behold,there it was... Mesmerizing!!!
