    The YT algo sent me here before the 110F heat index arrives. Let's see if they know something about my compressor that I have not yet discovered.

    Thanks I’m homeowner diagnosed my own issue with no heat pump. My last assumption is this contact issue. Will take it apart and see if this is working like you shown.

    You should do some videos on how to test equipment like contactors and relays and switches and such to see if they’ve gone bad

    Does an old school blowermotor with a capacitor need a contactor or is a 90-370 relay sufficient?

  • @lego4av
    @lego4av Рік тому

    Thank you, I am a new homeowner, recently my outside fan stay on regardless of my inside AC was on or off. I replaced both my contactor and capacitor since both parts are cheap and both were over 8 years old .. my AC started working fine or normal after that but after 24 hours of normal working conditions. I noticed that my contactor gets stock on the on position.. after I reset power from breaker
    Then start operating normal.. what could be the issues. Thanks..

    Hi, so the contacts on both sides of the contactor are for connecting the Thermostat wire to either side ? Also, does the side from the Power comes in is called L1 and L2 and the Load Side is T1 and T2 ? Thanks

  • @dartmouthlights7627
    @dartmouthlights7627 Рік тому

    Is there a definite line side (I believe that’s what it’s called) or does it matter which side the power goes in ?

  • @toupsclassroomtoupsclassro9557

    question: can you have a higher res number my orig. contactor has res 30 and new one has res 40 what does that mean anyhow can't find anything online ty

    Why do some supply houses list that part as a "Contactor Relay"? Is it also a relay? Example... ua-cam.com/video/y4sx84SHMlw/v-deo.html

    On this 2 pole contactor ,when I push down on the two buttons ,my fan comes on but as soon as I release the button the fan turns off ,I've checked every wire to insure all wires are connected and secure ,does this mean the contactor is bad since it won't stay on unless I hold the button down on the contactor ?

    • @JumpermanTech
      @JumpermanTech  3 місяці тому

      Doesn't mean your contactor is bad unless the coil has the proper voltage. Once the coil is energized, it will create a magnetic field and close the contacts for the contactor. Good luck!

    • @JumpermanTech
      @JumpermanTech  3 місяці тому

      Need to trace out the control circuit which energizes the coil for the contactor
