    I am wanting to mount it upside down so the anderson outputs are on the top as it is going in a tight area with no space underneath. Is it able to be opened up to spin the volt display up the other way?

    hey mate, ive got a bcdc charger under the bonnet and it has its own solar input, can i run a solar panel thru this kickass box or will i need to run another cable to the existing solar input on the bcdc charger?

    • @GoneTravelingOZ
      @GoneTravelingOZ  Рік тому +2

      not 100% sure mate to be honest its designed as a output device from you secondary battery via the Anderson plug thats how i have mine setup in the canopy to charge all my KickAss devices and phone Ipads etc.. hopefully that helps!

      @HenryAkes13 Рік тому

      No mate,
      You need to plug regulated solar into this box.
      You will still need to plug your panels directly into your redarc.
      You can always buy a dcdc wiring kit and take your redarc out of the hot engine bay and put it in your canopy or boot, then you will have the solar plug in a handy spot

    can i plug my solar panel into this box to charge the battery? (the solar panel has an anderson plug)

    • @GoneTravelingOZ
      @GoneTravelingOZ  Рік тому

      Yep 👍🏻 you can just plug the solar panel into the 1 of the 2 Anderson Input/output on the bottom of the power box and that will charge your auxiliary battery
      Hopefully that’s answered your question.

    I'm assuming it has an inbuilt battery. No one mentions capacity anywhere tho. Do you know ?. 20 amp hr or ?

    • @GoneTravelingOZ
      @GoneTravelingOZ  Рік тому

      No inbuilt battery runs of your existing battery setup just gives you more options to charge/run items from it. Hopefully this helps

    What do you conectad it to? The load on your mppt charge controller or your battery bank? What if you have 4 x150 ah agm batteries connected in parallel ? Can you connect it to them?

    • @GoneTravelingOZ
      @GoneTravelingOZ  Рік тому

      Hi Carol,
      With a parallel battery connection the capacity will increase, however the battery voltage will remain the same. So it will be fine to have it connected still going to put of 12v it’s perfect for charging all your 12v devices
      Thanks for watching

      @@GoneTravelingOZ Wow thanks for your fast reply and great explanation. I was a bit worried that if I connected it to the battery bank it would be too many amps. I'm still learning about solar. Great looking device. I think I will get one. Until now I've just been using the top of a battery box and its nowhere as flash as this. 😀😁
