You mentioned making mp3s of TV shows and Movies. I remember doing the same with cassette tapes as a kid before I had a VCR. I'd record Star Trek episodes using the tape player's mic and listening to the shows, playing the episode in my mind while listening to it.
I did the same thing back in the 60's. I had a miniature reel-to-reel made by Craig. It was just like the ones you'd see at the beginning of Mission Impossible! Ker-BLAM!💥💥💥
I just bought this after seeing this review. I live in Fl & recently had no power for 4 days due to the hurricane. I wanted a rechargeable player like this for events like that. I'm satisfied with it so far. Thanks for the useful information.
The only fault I see is the track number display not responding when pressing the skip button - it doesn't update until the track starts playing. That would drive me nuts 😣
This is a neat CD player, never seen a magnet closing mechanism on the door! I had a CD player like this one that had the same chimes, oddly enough I also really like your personality in these videos. Makes your videos more entertaining to watch!
Any wireless device that won't take regular batteries or has an AC adapter. Is just landfill bait. You have no idea how long those devices will last and if it's from a small company it's possible that not only can't you replace the battery easily but perhaps not at all. This is not a good trend and really shouldn't be supported.
I wondered how it worked-whether it was USB powered, which charged up the built-in battery ?? But I guess $50 dollars isn’t a bad price for this item !!
Not important to anything in the video but I just got the rarest Sinatra records I’ve seen recently and I thought of this channel immediately after I bought them
Irish music sounds like Appalachian music. Not surprising. Most of people from Appalachia come from Scotch/Irish descent. Anyways, have a good weekend, my friend.
It's a pity that there doesn't appear to be any way to connect the unit to an external audio system as the sound quality, at least to me, suggested that might be worthwhile. I wasn't surprised that it wouldn't play a file in 24/96 format.
what a cute little cd player never seen anything like it being from Australia all i have seen are normal cd players but never anything like the one you have shown I even have not seen the discman walk man by Sony since the 1990s
I am SO reminded of a flip clock, with the date bezel at the bottom with this one! Don't forget a headphone out can be used to connect to external speakers, in particular powered ones. You can also connect to most other devices also. Just saying!
I thought those Warner Archive discs were burned, not pressed. I have a number of those...I love them, but, I truly thought they were burned because it's a cheaper way to make a small run.
@@Recordology I didn't know about the Stooges disc. I need that. You know those beautiful CD sets, that have the complete shorts? I bought each volume as it was issued, I love those. And then, I found the boxed set (all the sets,in a box) for (honest) $10. I keep one by the bed for the portable DVD, and the other in the TV room. It's too bad that little player doesn't play DVD audio. I looked at the Amazon and, and the ad does suggest it plays DVDs on several places as you scroll through. A lot of times I go to sleep listening to audio-only of Golden Girls, Mary Tyler Moore, and the film The Owl And The Pussycat... because I like the scripts. ( Or any old radio show starring Agnes Morehead - radio's greatest voice actress). Anyway ...great video.
I think we need stylish entry-level gadgets like this to bring younger users into the amazing world of the Compact Disc! Who knows how long it will last, but after a year or so, users will decide to either upgrade or go back to streaming, right? The Amazon page says, "Using 3.5mm audio cable you can also connect and output the CD player to other external wired speakers."
For those who use iPhones, the sounds for the bluetooth and line modes should be recognizable. The sound for entering bluetooth is the tritone notification sound, and the sound for entering line mode is the popcorn notification sound. They just stole them from iOS and used them for some of the modes.
Now that video made me a bit aggressive, sorry to say. But every time you close the door with no CD in it, you blocked the view. I wanted to see if it will shine the laser into your eyes because how should it know if there is a CD in it, or not? Also you do not use it as intended, I think standing it up would make it tip over when inserting a CD to the spindle od so. Also seems not possible to wall mount it or lean it against a wall to prevent tiping over because of the connectors on the back - so all in all, a bit a strange device to me.
No output so you can't connect an external dac or amp and bypass the crappy 59c internal speakers and it doesn't accept normal batteries means this is just a toy waiting for the battery to die so you can put it in landfill.
Not listened to a cd in about 7 years. I am strictly MP3 or download for music now. And sorry, but I get music from anywhere. I would never waste money on junk like Spotify, or apple music etc. There are millions of perfectly amazing songs for free anywhere on the internet. Especially UA-cam. I haven't paid for music in about 5 years.
I wondered as to why,you tried to play a DVD in a CD player ?? Thinking it might ?? work-albeit in audio only !! In practice, generally CD players do not play DVDs-although DVD players and some Blu-ray players can play CDs,and even some CDs made(Burnt) on a computer-CDRs/CD-RWs/MP3 ??
@@Recordology there's DVD audio disks. DVD's with video are copy protected. that could be the problem why yours didn't play it unless there was an update to the unit. the one saw only had CDs listed.
This product is not unique at all. The same player is sold under another brand name. In other words, it is made by a manufacturer, and anyone can add their brand name to it. There are also other similar products with very slight differences.
Apparently the aux in doubles as an output jack too! So you CAN connect to external sound systems / headphones! Thats good!
agree with the description. Thanks for the review, always love these. Long live cds & physical media.
Classic CD-ology !!! 😎👍

I used to have a CD players that my brothers and I would share. We would listen to this Halloween CD every October. This takes me back

A lot of those Warner Archive titles are actually burned, they call it MOD (manufacture on demand)
These can also come from other companies, even the BBC!

The use of stereo speakers even inches apart gives a better sound. If the source is stereo.

Neat little CD player for the desk top. Nice review!
Thanks!

Looks cool, no output is deal breaker, I like the next 1 more.
Having a coloured lid on a transparebt CD player defeats the purpose lol
Nice, thanks 😊 for the review.
I like to collect CD players and
cassette players, such as the
Fino cp 13 cassette player,
which is very good 👍 😅
Nice design
It might play certain DVDs. Single layer, double layer, Red Book codec, etc.
I agree the fiio is louder then the we are rewind and also the we are rewind is a well built model

I think the DVD part only means you can store MP3 files on DVDs, you cannot play movies on it.

We did! That was Coronado Springs.
It's a Pretty box but I wouldn't call it Handsome.

Said in the manual it plays dvds. Some cd players do.
Ah another OTR guy
Nice portable unit. It will not play a DVD though. It's not designed for it.

That cover for the CD looks a little flimsy. Jesus loves you!
