  • We explore new waters with packraft. Packrafting exploring untouched river in Sweden Lapland.
In June me (Matti) and a couple of friends decided to continue to explore the small forest south of Jokkmokk where Stina were packrafting the week before. We started in Majtum where Stina ended her packraft adventure. Our route went along the higher part of the river Appoälven down to Vajmat. We followed the untouched river, trekked around the parts with white water and crossed some lakes. We found a perfect spot on a sand beach where we spent the night in our tents.
During this packrafting adventure we saw both beavers, elk with a new born calf, a heard of reindeers and some birds.
It’s a really nice packraft route and later on we will continue to explore these untouched waters.
In the end of this video, I talk about what I had with me in my backpack. What was needed and what was totally unnecessary to bring when paddling.
I want to say thank you to Micke, Melina and Andrea who followed on this exploring tour and thank you to Stina and Alexander who organized our transports with car. I hope you enjoy this video and stay tuned because we’ll make new videos all the time. /Matti

Bra video!

Trevlig film i vanlig ordning. Kul att du filma när ni hade packcraft med er… ser super trevligt ut.
Som du sa på slutet vore det väldigt intressant att veta vilka olika First Aid Kit du har med vid olika årstider… och också vad du har för kit för hundarna.
    Vi hörs.

The female in the green raft must be camera shy because we didn't see much of her. I also suspect she is an experienced rafter because her green raft was often seen way off by itself. Your camera gear of 6.5 kilos meant nothing to me, 14.3 pounds meant everything to MEeee. I was wondering which tent you used.
I'm surprised that you know about Leatherman Multi tools; they are the best.
Thanks for telling MEeee it was the Big Agnes Copper Spur. Thank you for sharing this adventure with MEeee, the area you live in is part of the world I'll never experience for myself.
The equipment you carry/use is secondary to the scenic beauty of your part of the world which is the main reason I'm a subscriber to your channel.
Stina was conspicuous by her absence, she must have stayed home with the dogs this time.
Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada U.S.A.

Yes Stina was home with the dogs and to take care of our canoe rental business.
Andrea in the green raft was on some clips I couldn't use because I have missed the focus. And it's correct that she is probably the one of us with most hours in the raft.
      😀
The other tents was one Hilleberg Akto (I have made an review 1 year ago) and then a Hilleberg Nallo 3GT that Micke and Melina used.

Really looking forward to your video every weekend! Nice tour :)
I was wondering what kind of rain pants you used. Are they like a second layer you put on over your "normal" trekking pants in case of rain, or are they just trekking pants that claim to be especially waterproof?

    • @JOKKMOKKGUIDERNA
      @JOKKMOKKGUIDERNA  3 роки тому +1

Hello and thanks for watching and that make us happy that you enjoy the videos. 😀
My rain pants are a lightweight layer that I only use when it's raining or when I walk through wet bushes.
Have you seen our video from last year when I'm talking about rain clothes? ua-cam.com/video/uoDA3WCdk0Y/v-deo.html
I prefer to just use regular hiking pants when it's dry to avoid condensation from inside.
I hope you get some info out of this. 😀
We will TRY to keep up with one video each week but it's hard work... but we try. 😀

@@azclaimjumper Why do you google translate what i wrote? "Maken" in Swedish in this occasion is not "Husband", it's more like "very much" if i just translate Swedish word to English word, but if i wrote the sentence in English i would write "Siberian huskys have a lot of hunting instinct".
