I said it for 5 years…. Until organ failure and the ICU popped into the picture. Now 5 years later I hear that same thing from people around me. Problem is, they aren’t lying. They truly believe it. Sometimes it takes a good support system(family and friends) to get out of it. Like what Logan seems to have.

I have to say mike had a good point when talking about NFT's and how ownership of internet memes could be a great investment. Alcohol addiction is almost a silent killer. It also is heavily genetic and it is so normalized to drink it becomes hard. You can’t even grocery shop or pick up medicine without encountering it.
Facts. Im 12 yrs sober. Not from alcohol but I consider it to be just a bad as any hard drug. Because of how readily available it is.

this is exactly what happened to me. Thought no question I could stop if I wanted, I just never wanted to. Then when the time came to "check" on this I realized oh shit, I've been doing this drinking routine for years and never really stopped....now I can't. Good luck.

Drinking on occasions, at Party’s and time to time is normal. But binge drinking the way he is for as long as he without letting the liver heal will lead to liver disease pretty quickly within the matter of a few years. He’s killing him self and does realize it because he’s never been through a serious medical problem. There’s no effect on your body until ur liver is fully scarred up and then everything shuts downs at once. Hate to see people unknowingly kill them self. this happened to my mother. It’s not a pretty sight too see, hope you can calm down a bit and just enjoy life naturally.

Na dude this Logan thing is 100% percent a problem. It's pretty obvious. Logan has always lived to be creative and now he's becoming dependent on substances and convincing himself that's what he needs to be creative right now. This is a slippery slope that needs to be stopped now or else he's always going to feel dependent on substances to be creative and produce content. He makes light of it but this isn't something that should be stopped at a "certain date" That's not how these things work. He's throwing away his life no matter how much he's says he's ok or thinks it's just "being creative". Even if he stops on November whatever there's no telling if he will start drinking again because he "doesn't feel creative" and before you know it will be a cycle.

You talk like you've been broken in, and bought into that AA endless self guilt hype. Remember, it was written/plagiarized in the 1930's by a guy who was wasted off his mind on bathtub gin (he thought god was speaking to him) and it's not supported by modern psychology.

Outside of the physical effects of some withdrawals it's overeating for people who confuse constant self guilt as growth. AA kills and doesn't have a success rate, it has people who survived AA.

i am 100% a addict man. I had to pullback on smoking wax daily. Going from a pound every month ($2800) to nothing, no drinking no xanax, its been a struggle but the clarity of mind is priceless. to anyone reading this who needs to hear it, you can do it if I can.

Mike is absolutely right that people will see this and check themselves. I am constantly trying to do that as I push through life and have been in both places multiple times. Addiction seems like something you can control until you can’t, and when people around you start to doubt you, whether you think you are in control or not, everything will slip away fast. Hope you move forward from this positively.

I lost sight of what was important and lost myself in my work and fixing my past mistakes from a ten year addiction. Now my wife is walking away because I didn’t maintain that balance. Just be careful George. Don’t lose the motivation, just be careful 🤙🏼 love y’all guys.

@@dimentbarg9793 Right?!! …And having a “stop date,” saying he “can stop whenever he wants,” is using it for creative influence, and can “control” going 0-to-100 are all signs. Smh. Addiction/alcoholism doesn’t have a massive bright flashing warning sign saying “STOP HERE! …Or you’ll end up being physically/psychologically dependent!” It doesn’t work that way. If it did NO ONE would be addicts. There isn’t a blaring line in the sand. 🙏

Super good topic. Very good to be aware of this, I moved to Hollywood when I was 23 and I’m 30 now. Been through the same things. Everyone feels like they won’t get addicted when they are not doing that much. It’s a slippery slope my brotha. Be safe
One more thing….. that flow state won’t last forever. Use that time wisely because honest to god when it’s over, you come out slower and less sharp than when you started. Remember that.

Love the podcast but I miss the 2 uploads a week like last year. Probably just miss when Logan lived in LA because that house was gorgeous and loved the setup there and he was always with his friends. Mike and Logan have the best stories from their travel adventures. I still remember the spineless man from their trip to Maui.
Please get a different venue- this is very weird.
