I was the Tartan lady that asked the last question in this video. As a Wham and GM fan of 40 years it was a very proud moment to ask Andrew a question. Without Andrew there would have been no George Michael. I am forever grateful for that.
Andrew always looks impeccably dressed. Seen more of him since the sad death of George and what a pleasant surprise as he comes across a lovely man with some great stories to share.
Andrew, ❤ is a very, very personable, ❤ sweet man.❤ It's great that you two became friends and founded Wham.❤ We are so proud of you both, Wham ❤ is unforgettable ❤ Great music, 🎶 great performances, ❤ great concerts, ❤ brilliant voice. 🎤 We love ❤ you both so much.❤ ❤ Fantastic ❤ We bow and say with all our hearts, ❤ Thank you, 👏 Thank you, 👏 Thank you, 👏 for the wonderful moments, ❤ that we love so much ❤ and that we will never forget. ❤ Andrew, ❤ with his incomparable guitar 🎸and George, ❤ with his unforgettably, brilliant voice 🎤 and his charming ❤ and cool ❤ manner. ❤ ❤ big respect ❤ boys ❤ and ❤ forever in my heart ❤
As a young bloke , I had no time for these two..but as time as passed I realise what a friendship they had. That in itself is probably more important than the music, which I have seen in a new light. Andrew ridgley is a true agent and a good man.
I did read his book, and while reading, i thought he could not write the book, while Goerge was alive ... why is he so present after Goerges death : Because the loving fans are searching for memories ... and they know deep in their hearts, that there would not have been that great star without his history with Andrew 👬
I really don’t think so , George came from a very strict family , that’s why he was so shy , he was very young but he knew he had talent , he would have made it on his own like he did it when he went solo , he didn’t need any one , just like he wrote careless whisper on a bus when he was 16 , what did Andrew contribute to wham , he let George do all the work while he played around !!!!!!!
I like the fact that he could see George's song Amazing could have been a Wham song . I COULD SEE THAT . I like that he acknowledged Keren' son as his Stepson .
Andrew is a class act. The song "Freedom 90" that George did on his "Listen without prejudice" album is about WHAM! splitting up and the verses are talking directly to Andrew. But he does so in a reflective and friendly "Can you believe we achieved all that, we were on top of the world mate!" But the "I think there's something you should know." parts of the song are more serious, revealing his inner struggles. "I don't want to be that guy from WHAM! anymore."
I can't get past anything they're saying because I've noticed that for years now Andrew is one of the best-dressed guys I know!!! That window pain suit is the sh*t!!!
This is amazing . They were two young boys with so much ambition . George looked up to Andrew. Musically Andrew could barely play guitar. Does he still play ??? There is such thing as luck . I'd like to see a full length documentary on Andrew.
I would go for , will you marry me...and then tell me everything?😘...I love that he said Paul Weller, because in my head Andrew is the only guy Paul Weller gets territorially pissy over😉...and today I had my Andrew side of my Wham drum set cover draped next to me while I played with Paul Weller on Tube ...and Paul's song book was right under Andrew so their faces would stare at me 😆....I kid you not...Yummy...Did I mention I happen to be a we Scottish and a woman of title...Lady Miss ChristyRead of Dunans Castle...for $ 35 you could be me laird Andrew🌹
Seems like a classy humble man more suited as an English literature professor, rather than a pop star. Wow lost all his hair and didn’t age well but still seems like a lovely man.
@@Jondsmusic your forgetting everyone looks great in there twenties, it's called aging, the difference is hes British unlike Americans who have fake everything teeth tans botox dye there hair ,

Hi Andrew. I would just like to ask how joyful you felt when you realised that, unlike yourself, your best m8 George was multi-talented giving you an instant pathway to fame, fortune,Women and all the finer things in life that Boys want when they are young? Especially as you would realise more than anyone that the only musical talent you had was playing Air Guitar and Miming....:)
@Stephen Pusey lol Yes,I carried their equipment around , which meant I made an equal contribution musically to their international success as Andy....

He’s not doing any of this to self promote, make money (he has plenty) or because he always wanted what George had. He’s envious of George’s talent, not jealous. Big difference. He’s doing this merely to honor his memory in a loving way & divert the attention back to the good things rather than what they’ve become since George passed away. To tell their story for the younger generations to know. It might serve you better to brow beat David Austin who’s most certainly making his money (as always) off the back of George. He (along with or rather with the blessings of) George’s sisters are quite commercial in their attempts at promotion. Yes, promotion rather than legacy.
@@patmath2506 Having been fortunate enough to have met George while I worked at Wembley Stadium I got to ask him a couple of questions backstage and I can say this, George said without Andrew there would have been no Wham and not just that, it was Andrew that told him it was time to let Wham go and he was always grateful to him for that. Andrew has always respected the privacy of George and indeed of himself. He gets the royalties from Careless whispers and I think Last Christmas too and took away over 5 million from Wham at the end. Money is not his motivation for this and without knowing George but having met him I do think this would be something he would approve of.

Very much. A gentleman.

This is the guy people need to thank for getting George Michael, & George said that as well. Andrew was the driving force.
Bless his heart for sharing his story with all of us. Such a gentleman and a true friend of George's.
Great bloke.
Just finished the book. It was great to hear his story . . . talk about loyal friends.
Still has that cheeky chappy grin I remember.
It's good he's now getting the respect he deserves. Wham were great and I was fortunate to be at the final...
Gary Sykes It just shows Andrew was very much important to Wham! as George.
We seriously need a movie of George Michael / WHAM, whilst Andrew Ridgeley is alive and well.
SAMI I agree and he could really make sure it's on point
I would love, but I don't think George's family would authorize.
A biopic of George is a need
Nobody could even come close to playing the role of Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Elvis, or George Michael.

He's still very handsome!
Would live to see The Final released.

Met him once around the time of Son of Albert in LA. He was a lovely guy and clearly still is!
