Wow, what memories. I was at Plymouth Poly in 1973 and lived in Saltash so would have crossed the Tamar twice a day most days. I never travelled the Gunnislake branch though unfortunately.
Wonderful memories. I remember being taken on this line frequently in the late 1960’s by my gran to visit friends in Gunnislake. My interest in trains started when I was aged 7 / 8 and I would often spend hours at Devonport and Dockyard Stations taking down the numbers of the engines as they passed by. It was those days that led to a lifetime of interest and passion in the railways. Thank you for posting the video.
Thank you Stephen for your interest. It is a lively line. My only wish would have been to ride the line some twenty years earlier in the Golden age of steam.
I would liked to have visited the line again yesterday but in view of the weather and having made a visit last summer, I found the absence of open windows and the soiled fixed windows would not do it justice to film from the train.

Beautiful, thank-you! Happy memories.
But sad.

Thanks for posting, seems like the weather on this day in 1973 was better than that in 2023!
