I just changed out 4 Ecotech MP40QDs for 4 Nero 7s. The Nero 7 has a much wider flow pattern and works much better on my full SPS Acropora system.
It also saves A LOT of space over the MP40s. I'll be sticking with the Nero 7 on my current system and any new systems I add.

Yeah that Nero 7 appeared to bring the heat! Been happy with my Nero 3 I’ll likely try the 5 when I set up my 45 seapora. 😎👊🏻🍻

This may be a perfect option for my 125 gal, 6ft display I’m setting up. Only bought a icecap gyre so far to save on the upfront costs with the plan being to get another stronger pump to supplement it with more direct flow and more water movement when I decide to get corals. I will definitely keep this pump in mind when I get it set up and put corals in there, It will probably be between this one and an MP40 tbh
This mirrors the MP40 in power in my honest opinion (Nero 7) and each pump has their home! It is STRONG though! I’ll say that!
What's with the upside down outside magnet? Mine is that way too, can't be rotated upright, magnet opposes.
Can it put too much outward stress on the glass and potentially damage the corner seals over time?
My tank 90 gallon should I use Nero 7 or Nero 5 ?
