I don't agree with you on this one Stevie. Em's verse had substance. When EM features on one of his signed artists, he always seems to tailor himself to go with the main artist, and focus on making a good track. Its not about showing up and washing the other artist, because why would he want to make his signed artist look shit. Ive never heard of Grip before hand, like you said in the video, he can rap, rap. He earned himself a new listener and many more no doubt with this track. Both of them had substance, Em went for more story telling instead of a bar heavy verse, he can do all styles of rapping, he picks what suits the concept/track the best.
The fact you can barely read his bars talking normally (I couldn’t either haha)and he’s managing to make it flow and sound awesome like that is a testament to how good Em is. He’s next level when it comes to his cadence and word play
I don't agree Stevie, respectfully. I like this kind of song from Em because it's a break from all the bar-heavy verses that just allow us to get lost and enjoy the flows + cadences. Love this type of Em he's fire!

Love how u think it’s not gna be a bar breakdown worthy or not be bar heavy then em jus comes in goin crazy… to me Eminem will always be better than wat I can predict
Grip and Em BOTH had substance. This verse has to be one of my favourites... the flow, the story and his message case and point about people today. I can't wait for the next Em album, I think he's going to open up even more about his life, being in his shoes... a place not many will ever experience EVER. Fire song 🙏
The wallet line you were talking about, Em says about the wallets and knot, Then references Grips chorus... Em turns his "wallet knots" line into the reference to grip, the walls not what they have against their backs.. its small like a cross.. I think Em means like the old expression "it's your cross to bare" Referencing Jesus, Bearing the CROSS for mankind.. Em and his squad feel like its their cross to bare with hip hop.. it's his BURDEN to keep the game real and not washed out.. Calling himself the hiphop Jesus lol SO THEN WHO ARE HIS 12 DECIPLES....AND WHATS THAT MAKE DRE??? lmao (IF EM READS THIS, THERE IS A BAR THERE WITH THE DECIPLES "D12" DRE COULD BE MOSES.....WHO WOULD JUDUS BE????) this was my original comment... just want some answers lol
Thanks for taking the time to really breakdown GRIP's verse. A lot of other reactors just been breezing through his verse to get to Em. Much appreciated 🙏🏾
Can't have every Em song/feature bar heavy, it's exhausting. Sometimes a straightforward verse is refreshing. He wasn't *that* technical when he was *the* shit (back in MMLP & TES days). He was smooth (yet unorthodox) flows married to the beats, shock value in different quantities from album to album, and wit. While I love this era of him too (from Kamikaze to now), I wish he'd take a lil' "less is more" approach sometimes.
completely agree, sometimes his newer stuff lack in this type of masterful delivery because its so damn complex and packed, loved this verse, good on the ears and mind lol
Eminem has reached that bar and always kills every beat he raps on, his legacy is cemented in hip hop forever 💯 and what GRIP just did on this song is amazing and it gives me an early Kendrick type feel but different because his verse structure is even more technical than K-Dot. The song with Royce is even better 💯
God love you...the heavy blinking and the confusion of days (they all end in a 'y' so it doesn't matter, Ole Boy). Sure do appreciate you doing this for us
I get the critique of Em Mr Knight but what would he gain by MONSTERING his newest artist on his debut album. He did exactly what I think he needed to do, he complimented Grip perfectly on this track by not spazzing and spitting a verse with true substance where all listeners understand 95% of it. Can’t wait for more music by Grip!
Stevie is solid at catching bars, but is terrible with rhyme schemes. He said "ding dong ditched" and "sing song bitch" was the rhyme. Bruh, that was 3/4 syllables of the outer pattern only, then you don't even realize he's rhyming multiple different internal patterns followed by entirely new patterns he introduces and switches back and forth between. C'mon man
He also said ding dong ditch was weak. But the saying is death is knocking at your door and Em was saying instead he’s knocking on deaths door and screwing with death by playing ding dong ditch. I don’t think that’s weak.
This was so Reeetarrrrdead!!!! Loved it GRIP WAS CRAZY! EM, KILLED IT that's all I gotta say!! Love the videos Steve! keep doing your thing! One love!!!
Ashes earned - @$$ has earned - ash has urn... Also that small like the cross, when he says "past" the words followed that sounded like "pastor", so the cross was a pastor church scheme.

This Em is fun!!! I absolutely love this track!!! Great pairing between Grip and the GOAT🐐!
Can you clear up the word “substance” for me? No offense Stevie I am a huge fan but I don’t understand how you think em didn’t have substance in his verse. Grip and him both rapped about the same thing there past, there childhood, and the things they went through. So why does grip have substance and em doesn’t? They just approached it and different ways. But like I said I’m a huge fan keep doing your thing
Love the reaction as always Stevie. Keep it up brah. Room looking good. Nip and the lights look dope as fucc.
bro this is Grip's debut album so em is gonna rap along side him not go against him, as he did in many other songs
The beat on this track is sinister 😈
That lyrics is wrong. He said.
"Its more like a cross"
Hinting at the fact that his the Rap God
Shout out to grip, super cool dude I’ve been chatting with him leading up to this and he was really excited about releasing this album and letting the world hear him with Em and what he brought out of em. He literally made this song with the intent of Em jumping on it
Congratulations Stevie on your new bundle of joy! I hope your wife and son are both doing well! Thanks for this, I’ve been waiting since last night for your reaction 😬✊🐐
Em is the G.O.A.T hands down
Facts
I think Em doesn't want to overshadow Grip on his album especially someone he signed. Personally, Stevie he let Grip have this one. All that being send Grip X Em both did a great job.
Em killed this verse
I think you are wrong because this is a near perfect Em verse, it's just not the usual that the other artist on the track puts together an also near perfect verse, EM's verse 9.9/10 & Grips verse 9.8/10
Em let Grip ride with him on this one. Flows were fire 🚒🔥🔥 oo
I agree Eminem is holding back. But he does not want to shine on grips album.
@@vegaadrian49 Yeah Em hold back on his corny bars. I like wordplay but recently was like little too much, daddy jokes are ok for couple of listen but they got mad cringey later. I love this verse it's substance, serious and not in your face wordplay which makes you think and cadence is insane.🔥🔥
Balanced and an interesting blend Eminem showed a lot of respect .
This is the best song I have heard in a long time!
@Ashly Byrnes Thanks for the unsolicited advice.
It's ok Stevie you seemed tired, your still my boy! You don't have to catch every bar bro I appreciate your content to the fullest!
"It's only 3 minutes and 29 seconds long, they are to be going crazy" ... oh boy, you should know Em is going crazy anyway and grip did too
Ems Flow And Cadence Are Unparalleled, His Verse On This Had Me Rewinding Every Three Words
This might be the best Eminem verse since Best Friend/Lord above, story telling wise
I still think his verse on Lord above was one of his greatest verse ever flow wise . He showed us he could kill it over smooth jazz productions too
Psychopathic killers is best since best freind imo. This is up there with lord above. Gotta give it a few more listens.
I have hard time picking from his collabs wit Royce
Book of rhymes verse 2
@UCJBdogseR6ApWcW0TszNuoQ i hated Homicide but maybe Caterpillar but the flow is alot better in this than caterpillar and the content takes me back to brain damage so right now i would take this song over caterpillar but maybe ill start disliking it
@UCJBdogseR6ApWcW0TszNuoQ he was talking his ish on that song. He really went off on this song
I never comment Stevie and I only comment now to congratulate you on the new addition to your family! Enjoy it man, best job you'll ever have and you're gonna kill it. Best of luck to the Knight family.
Bro im still reeling from how crazy epmd was 😅
That ashes earn/urn line is killer
When EM features on one of his signed artists, he always seems to tailor himself to go with the main artist, and focus on making a good track. Its not about showing up and washing the other artist, because why would he want to make his signed artist look shit.
Ive never heard of Grip before hand, like you said in the video, he can rap, rap. He earned himself a new listener and many more no doubt with this track.
Both of them had substance, Em went for more story telling instead of a bar heavy verse, he can do all styles of rapping, he picks what suits the concept/track the best.
This album is crazy ☄☄☄🔥 Unique flows and beats ☄🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥☄☄💣💀🐐
The fact you can barely read his bars talking normally (I couldn’t either haha)and he’s managing to make it flow and sound awesome like that is a testament to how good Em is. He’s next level when it comes to his cadence and word play
Heard the whole album 3 times. It’s really fucking good. Also hope you do Kendricks return verse 🔥🔥🔥🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Congrats! Hope all is well with the family! Babys are so heart warming !
“It’s more like the cross” is against his back.
I don't agree Stevie, respectfully. I like this kind of song from Em because it's a break from all the bar-heavy verses that just allow us to get lost and enjoy the flows + cadences. Love this type of Em he's fire!
Em flow is similar to his "forever" verse
Yeah and instead of "taking forever" he backed off a bit to story tell rap and let grip shine a bit more
this the birth of a new beast The GRIP watch out for this guy....
I think both verses had meaning and were powerful, but grip had more puns and em had a story with more syllables. Both fire
They both killed it; I think Em complimented Grip's style perfectly on this one. ♥
Grip is a Newley signed Shady Records rapper Em signed him just recently Em The Goat & Grip Killed This Fucking Track No Cap And Dat Hook Is Insane!🙇🏽♂️🐐🔥🔥🔥#ShadyRecords (His best verse since “Lord Above” But I loved all his features up until this point anyway and this isn’t the end of Em’s career at all)
The syllable rhymes in ems verse on this are just mind blowing
I literally just finished listening to it yessir Stevie!💪🏾💪🏾
The sing song shit line hit differently when you realize it's a travis Scott diss.
Stevie is probably tired, there was a ton of substance. You gotta listen to it again!
it actually did leak, thursday morning,
If Em be Em y'all be like his always killing it, he gotta chill and when his chilling y'all criticize him
Anyway Em is Em
This shit is not even that bar heavy this sonically sounds good
@@corleone908 That's kind of what I'm saying... :D I enjoyed the verse, I was addressing the stuff Stevie said...
He still had insane flows and rhyme schemes, like in the way i am
@@gdsebo6019 Agreed.
completely agree, sometimes his newer stuff lack in this type of masterful delivery because its so damn complex and packed, loved this verse, good on the ears and mind lol
CONGRATS ON THE BIRTH OF YOUR CHILD. HOPE MOM AND BABY HEATHY AND HAPPY!! 🍼 NEW LIFE IS SO EXCITING!!
'I'm gonna flow your head off' 😂
Em is legit a genius. Signs an artists, features on their song cuz he know all eyes will be on them from that point.
100% got those Kendrick vibes too.
God love you...the heavy blinking and the confusion of days (they all end in a 'y' so it doesn't matter, Ole Boy).
Sure do appreciate you doing this for us
Are you a Eminem fan? Because I am…
@@generobertson6544 Yep! I love all types of music - not only hip hop
This is a more 'simplistic' verse from Em, and I have to say I love it. GRIP's album is fucking awesome too, you gotta check it out.
It's about to be the s*** the next Eminem
M is about to let him loose let him do his thing he's fixing their breath nobody knows yet but he's about to come
I get the critique of Em Mr Knight but what would he gain by MONSTERING his newest artist on his debut album. He did exactly what I think he needed to do, he complimented Grip perfectly on this track by not spazzing and spitting a verse with true substance where all listeners understand 95% of it. Can’t wait for more music by Grip!
You need to react to a few songs off his album . Grip is crazy
Clicked on this fast as I could. Eminem going crazy!!! So many great songs you need to react too
"It's more like the cross"
Jesus reference
yup as in the media/some of the public are trying to crucify him, also means he is god like
Also referred the rapGod
also follows it up with "past your" = pastor. very slick and not see any comments on this lol.
EM Bars + Stevie breaking bars
Match made in heaven
I appreciate the time and effort u put into EM vids.
Keep it coming
@@scotth9555 I think he was saying it was weak rhyme wise. Either way though it's a great line
Also the lyrics are wrong: it’s not small like the cross, rather: “it’s more like a cross”
@@rainevasquez662 touche.
I loved it m, Grip proved himself and Em blended well with him. I really am liking this whole album.
“It’s more like a cross”/ they put “small like a cross”
