You may have already figured it out, but the Pan and Tilt options do work when you have your webcam zoomed in. Still don't know what gain does lol. Thanks for the breakdown on these options. It really helped get image looking nice and crisp.
For some reason when I move my white balance or even use auto it turns either too pink or blue its never fully accurate. For example I had all white lights in my room it still showed pink in my face and walls when I adjust the white balance it turns blue. Its also not a saturation problem. Maybe because Im using led strip lights?
Thank you for this detail explanation. I had been looking for a great app to blur and remove background which was easy on pc resources. this was it! thanks again
Thank you so much!! I'm hoping your expertise has just upped my videos :) I've had the Pro for a while now (it was a Christmas gift) but I've only recently replaced my graphics card so I can start recording and streaming again. Blurring the background was one of the main reasons why I wanted this particular webcam. Again, thank you!!
Only using the regular Razer Kiyo, but these settings have already make a world of difference! It is annoying that the image quality is grainy (and somehow, lowering Grain actually darkens my image (WTF??), but it's better than a really cheap webcam for video recordings.
I think having the blurred background is kind of silly. It looked better with the blur off than on. It feels distracting with the background blurred, which is the exact opposite effect that you are trying to achieve with that.
I didn't like that the software didn't distinguish between the boom/arm in the foreground and actual background objects. Little things like that make it obvious it's not hardware dof.
Mine looks like trash no matter what I do, plus the issue it has with not being able to run the Synapse Software and OBS at the same time is ridiculous and completely screws up the settings. Even with lighting very similair to yours no matter what I do, it looks grainy full screen, it's fine for a steam window, but for full screen IMO it just doesn't cut it, and the Synapse conflict with OBS is unacceptable to me. Glad it works for you, but my experience with this cam seems pretty common. I think Razer just makes trash everything. Need a good camera buy one from a company that makes cameras only. Same with Headsets and Microphones. Razer never fails to let me down, so I finally learned my lesson and stopped buying their products despite review hype.
I dont believe the NVIDIA Broadcast works with the GTX cards, at least not the background blur. I tested this on my 1070 that is in my streaming PC and its not compatible.
If you use Nvidia broadcast it for me does not work well with obs stream elements or stream labs there is jittery feeds from the software. I can tweak it so it removes most of the jittery feed but I still can't really recommend using Nvidia broadcast
Hey I'm not looking for settings. I'm looking for how I am able to load these settings in an application like zoom meetings. My mom has a job as an online counselor and we can't get these camera settings pushed into her workplace
Hi there. Tks for the video. Did you get autofocus issues like the camera follow your hands if you're moving while you talk? Which is really annoying. Tks
How you call it pro, when it doesn't have basic setting of flipping the image horizontally, like the mirror. I don't do streaming, and I don't have OBS installed.
I ahve anew gaming computer. I use this camera for zoom, but on a normal basis, the camera freezes. after a while it restarts or I have to unplug it and reconnect it. Any fix for this?
I'm having a problem and I don't know where to ask for help, I have a Razer Kiyo Pro, and it doesn't work on one of my computers, it keeps blinking and distorting everything, I tested the web cam on two other computers and it worked normally. do you know how to help me? my config is 10400F on a B460m D3H (Rev 1.0), I tried a clean reinstall of windows and it didn't work.
thanks for this was really helpful , for some reason unless i have it on 50Hz my kiyo pro has crazy flickering any ideas why , i have all the latest drivers
Im trying to out do my samsung s23 ultra camera. In your opinion will this web camera be better at recording 4k video than the s23 ultra? I know its an apples to oranges comparison but I really want superb 4k recording as I like to do high quality OBS recording? I was disaapointed with the El Gato 130 dollar web camera
I'm super new to all of this. Just barely getting the setup going. I only bought this because I was able to get it for 94.99 new from best buy. Out of the box and plugging it in...it looked SO GRAINY. Like even the quality of my face looked like it was from a 480p camera in the synapse preview. I don't know tech terms either, sorry. Any tips on how to fix this? Did this video fix that issue? If so, time stamps? Appreciate the help so much!
How do you go to those settings I've downloaded synapse 3 times there is nothing that lets me change settings. Synapse Connect Studio Visualizer are the only options.
Hilarious dude you have to zoom in to use pan or tilt....Trust me I did the same thing for awhile the further you zoom the more you can pan or tilt ect ect. Good luck out there.
For me, there was a lag if the Exposure was relatively high (like, -6 or above), and the fix was to set Exposure to more like -8 (-9 or -10 if you can get away with it) then bring up the Gain to compensate. (Obviously un-check auto-exposure.) This completely fixed the lag for me, and the picture is good. Seems to be a quirk with the Kiyo.
It's pretty much the same except the orig Kiyo lacks the HDR option, so you may have to play around more to find the right combination of Exposure, Gain and Brightness, to get a good range without washing-out the brighter parts of your face. But the og Kiyo is great in my opinion, the best bang for the buck for a webcam in 2022 if you don't mind adjusting. In fact I find the og version is much easier to tweak in small ways, while the Pro can quickly go to awful-looking extremes from manual adjustments
Graininess in this webcam can come from high Gain. You can balance the lighting differently by using higher Exposure, and lower Gain. That will help the graininess, but I find that too-high Exposure causes some lag, so play with it to find the right balance. As Kompakuta said, more lighting will very likely help.
You may have already figured it out, but the Pan and Tilt options do work when you have your webcam zoomed in. Still don't know what gain does lol. Thanks for the breakdown on these options. It really helped get image looking nice and crisp.
Think gain is the mic audio
@@carlandrews6337 Gain is like positive exposure or gamma.

The passive/responsive focus added with firmware is a nice touch. I'm rocking with responsive for now.
I noticed that just now when I was setting mine up. What's the difference?
@@kaderade_ passive won't try to auto focus as much. Probably tries to act more fixed until things get blurry enough.

Thank you for the video this was so much help setting up my kiyo pro
Thank you so much!
Thank you bro, needed some fixes on my camera.
Thx for your tipps!
is there any way to flip the camera? it would be nice to be able to mirror the video instead of it being like a mirrored reflection
You can easily do it in obs
Found a way?
In streamlabs /obs there’s an option for horizontal flip
Dude, I don't know where this menu is, start there please.

This is late but on the synapse app it doesn’t show I have the camera connected? But on my camera app I can see myself with it

I think that's because of the frequency the electricity in your house is in, you just have to keep it to 50Hz now that you know

How to fix delay lag of about one second between actual motion and what the camera picks up?
Is it possible it's plugged into a USB 2 rather than USB 3 USB port?
I get the same issue yet all my ports are usb 3.2 I only have 1 2.0 port and my headphones are plugged into that.

buy some key lights
Did you figure it out? I got this because its the "best lowlight" cam and I find it pretty grainy in low light
