Great book. Worth the listen. It took me 10 hours to figure out I'd listen to it before. That's because most of it ain't worth remembering. The author could have put this story in a 12 or 15 hour read and it would have been a classic. Instead he stretched it out with meaningless air that made it painfull to endure. If you have a long prison sentence waiting for you, I suggest this is a must have.
Some authors just drag stuff out. Others don't tell enough. There is a balance. I don't need to know the backstory going back to preschool of every damn character, but also I don't want a story that's just all the characters doing stuff with no context or background. Fine line to tread.

Anthony J Melchiorri. If you scroll to the very end and listen to the last minute it says the author's name. I always scroll to the very end and see if the audiobook is complete with the outro from the publisher. Too many audiobooks I listen to on UA-cam ended up just stopping at random mid sentence. The only way I could get over it was with zombie audiobooks where I just imagined that the main character was killed by a zombie all of a sudden and the story is over (even though I obviously know that's not true).
