    Looks great to me. I had a brake relining machine back in the 80's. It was a neat setup. I did mostly brake shoes for 18 wheelers.

      Thanks Matty, I think so. This was another challenging project. The specs were pretty tight, yet the parts didn't have any accurate reference points and were stamped.

    Hydraulic clamps would make it much easier to cycle parts through the fixture and retractable pins could be used in lieu of spacers.
    I hope that your customer understands the requirements for brake components. They should be stress relieved after welding to avoid fatigue cracks in the weld zones. There is significant liability that attaches to these parts and even some very experienced manufactures have gotten into trouble.

      I love your ideas. I have never seen hydraulic clamps before. I will remember the option for future projects. The vendor I am working for is a sub-contractor of a sub-contractor, and they only do the welds. The rest is handles by the sub-contractor. Not confusing at all.
