Gemmy Animated Pop Culture Series: George W. Bush

I got this on eBay in early 2020, probably for around $25. I received it brand new.
The head mechanism had a split motor shaft gear right out of the box, which I replaced. Surprisingly, the mouth actually worked for quite a while. However, the motor shaft piece for the string mechanism that makes the mouth move recently split in half and needed to be replaced as well. I didn’t have any spare pieces, but my dad has a 3D printer and he helped me replicate the part nearly perfectly. This is one of the two different variants of Bush made for Gemmy’s Pop Culture line, the other being dressed in more casual attire. I personally prefer this version.

Can this work with a 5v adapter????.

5V would be slightly overpowering it since it requires a 4.5V adapter. It’s risky but I don’t see it doing too much harm unless it’s overused or kept plugged in for too long. As a rule of thumb I always just go with the voltage intended for the item though.
