I can understand feeling the need to steal & rob when hungry & under pressure; pressure burst pipes & living under sustained stress is definitely a lot of pressure (been there). But these types of crimes, killing innocent people for items that's essentially worthless on the streets, risking losing your life &/or freedom for absolutely nothing, that's not due to being stressed out, that's some evil spirits type stuff.
I was always told be aware of your surroundings. I know that you can't have your eyes everywhere be the threats are real. Way back in the day all that leaving your doors to your home unlocked might have been ideal then but in todays world its not such a good ideal. And as far as leaving your car doors unlocked when iam out and about i see those mistakes so much. People getting out just to run back into the house because they forgot something or even the store. We all get so comfortable in our surroundings we no longer pay attention to the threat that is right in front of us. But it's horrible situations like this that help us open our eyes and make us get uncomfortable because you never know when things are about to go left. My heart goes out to the family. 😥
