Lincoln Mkx intelligent keys

- Quick tutorial on how to program your intelligent keys for your Lincoln, I didn't know this was on there until after I had the car a couple weeks. My wife loves to get in the car without having to push the memory button and everything sets up nicely for her just by her unlocking with the key fob, remote start with the key fob, or just having the key fob in your hand when you use the intelligent unlock.

Yeah we've always went with foreign Honda, or Toyota, so was a little nervous about this car, 45000 miles on it and it's doing pretty well, test drove a Toyota Highlander the other day, top-of-the-line, these MK X's have about 25 things on it that the Highlander doesn't have! Still very happy with the car
Cool video. I got question, dos it lock the door when walking away from the car without using the keyfob ?
There might be an option where it does auto lock when you walk away. Not 100% on that
@john hey do you also know when you forget to close any windows or moonroof you press lock and then hold lock again it will close the windows without you having to sit down inside the car and also vice versus unlock and then hold unlock again to roll down the windows so that you don’t go into a hot car or just want some fresh air before you and company get in!
Yeah that's a great feature, I don't usually use the roll up feature but I definitely use the roll down in the summertime! I've got it on my 2005 Honda Odyssey Touring van too LOL
@@johnk12345100 have you updated your sync stereo? I was just looking into doing that I guess I missed a “CSP” which was to update your 3g modem to 4g. This is to be able to start your car with a Lincoln app! Also have you done anything to your vehicle? I really want to add a oil catch can for the blow back from the turbocharger!
@@ram90mar99 no I haven't really done anything besides repairs which it then little needed, we did just have our windshield change and now our windshield washer does not seem to be working. I know when I first got it I had installed that app, and yes it worked to start my car remotely, but I don't use it, I just use the key fob, but that's a great function if you're in the office and your car's a couple blocks away

I can’t find the key slot where you put the key to start the car when the key battery is dead. I’ve read it’s in the center console but can’t find it. Have you seen it?
Yeah if I remember right it's more like a cutout not a slot.

I had my key in my pocket at work and it set off the alarm then I came out to the car and the windows were all down and the moon roof open with the sunroof raised.

The only way that I know that could have happened it is if for some how you press the unlock and then long press the unlock button. Maybe you were trying to shut the alarm off? Accidentally holding down the other button? I'm not sure
@@johnk12345100 I was climbing around work with the fob in my pocket and it probably long pressed the unlock your right, thanks, I didn’t know the car could do that
I hope you read my message Nov 2023 my key fan got wet , not working . I put in slot on center console still not starting - it’s not my car it’s the fab that I drop on a drink
So sorry that happened but I have no fix for this.
Well you shouldn't have got drunk and dropped it in a drink. That tells me the smart key is really smart and wouldn't let you drive drunk.
