I hate when women blame the mistress. Your husband took vows to you not her. If my husband did that I'd leave him, not insult a woman that definitely didn't know he was married.
Yup, 100% correct. I'll go further and say that even IF she knew, the blame is still primarily his, because as you said HE vowed to be faithful to his wife, not the random stranger that may only have been looking for a good lay on the side.
I totally understand you... unfortunately the mechanism is pretty simple. Being mad at your husband means that YOU chose the wrong person, YOU chose someone who's cheating on you. It also means that something is probably not working in YOUR relationship, it means that maybe YOU didn't see it coming or ignored the signs, it means that you have to take a look at yourself and your relationship, it means accepting that YOUR choices led you here. It basically means facing a mirror you're maybe not ready to face. Being mad at the other woman, gives you the illusion that it's all her fault. That if SHE had not "seduced" your man, everything would have been perfect, that your relationship was great until SHE ruined everything. In other words, being mad at the other woman allows you to lie to yourself... Unfortunately, your heart knows...
I know same sort of thing with my dad, He is the male equivalent of Bree. Sober he has OCD & up tight + Depression, he has a multiplex of intellect that he doesn't use. Drunk he is fun carefree-caring a womanizer. It's like a double edge sword no matter what path he chooses it hurts someone in his path. It's not awful to think like that, it's awful what booze can do to the brain when it's in pain.
Me too!!!! Maybe because there's something relatable between me and her. When I'm off the wagon, I'm really off it. I become a totally different person, just like her.
I think you missed the point. its not why is the wife screaming at the other lady. its why she not screaming at her man? she maybe has failed in some matter, but thats not the other woman fault @Frank Lars
@Kha Noum its not always the case, and since Frank has a hotdog, I can imagine what he can give that some wife couldn't give, LOVE. Because even if a man is totally straight, if he is hungry for love and his wife cant give half of what some hungry closet queen can give, then SORRY, Maleficent has long been vindicated. (I'm not being serious. I just love Bree. I dont care what your morals are. I hail from a foreign land.

Bree is by far the best character, followed by Gabrielle and Karen. Despite not being that important of a character in the beginning, McClauskey was fierce. The woman kept her husband in a freezer. She looked the other way when she ran into Felicia that night she framed Paul, and she took the blame for killing Alejandro (unlike the idiots Susan and Lynette who were all guilty and annoying about it). The woman was a rockstar!
This scene is so prolific on so many levels! This church was full with a bunch of judgemental hypocrites that Bree was on the verge of exposing, but she was the only one who had integrity and owned that room like a boss! Bree was far from perfect but she learned to own up to herself the most.
You said exactly what I was thinking as I was rewatching this scene!! All of them even Karen got skeletons in the closet. At least Karen and Bree own it.
I can't beliebe how everyone (including her friends) let her down during this time, she carried their community and the whole mental charge of the Wisteria Lane group but they were so quick to blame her.
@@eduardochavacano Charlotte was boring, naive, a bit stupid. Bree is not like that at all, she is smart, confident, classy. Mb she was patterned after Charlotte, but still the actress gave her a little something.
@@eduardochavacano I actually think she is the perfect mix of Miranda and Charlotte. She looks like a Charlotte, but her personality is full of Miranda's attitude especially when it comes to doing something right and professionalism. Even thought Miranda and her would never like each other if they ever met, they are very similar inside.
Seeing her reaching this point after the huge empashis she putted on her public image and being a role model was so devastating I truly suffered along with her during her drinking problem, bree is so wonderfully written and even more amazingly played by Marcia its insane
Marcia is just amazing as the toffee nosed Bree whilst her life falls apart due to her emotional battles and alcoholism. Such a great actress and such a far cry from Kimberly in Melrose Place ❤️
Marcia Cross deserved wins for her portraying of Bree. She is a fine actress. She was the best back during her era in Melrose Place. Always playing fascinating characters.
Haha I like this bree, so much more interesting than the uptight, boring conservative bree we saw at the start of the show. Rex would be rolling in his grave
I think Rex would feel threatened by this Bree. He complained a lot about how uptight she was but actually it was very convenient for him most of the time (he wouldn't eat food from another day, told her she sounded like a whore when she assumed wanting him sexually) + She never orgasmed with him (first orgasm with Orson) so she probably would have realised how kinky he is without giving her pleasure back. Bree was a very misunderstood woman in the first season. She actually always had a wild side and Georges creep went close to it when he gave her the gun. Bree is complex and in order to get her it's not enough to whine like Rex did (he said their Italy holidays were shit because it was too hot and blablabla, being very greedy, he told her she was another "bored housewive" when she tried to be creative writing her book, told her she was silly just after asking her to trust him and open herself to him). No wonder she closed herself in her neurotic behaviour...
I have never watched this show but I’ve seen shorts. It’s hilarious that in high school, people told me that I was like Bree and then years later, at work, completely different people said the same thing randomly 😂😂😂 but I’m tinnier than Eva and have to bat away people who want to date me 😂😂😂 although, I really would like to have a companion now ❤❤ ps and I cannot believe I’m saying this but yes, even while drinking lots of wine , we bake perfect cakes lol

It is so unfair. The man cheats on his wife and Bree is supposed to be the wrong one here?
Honestly makes me vomiting
I know! They always blame the women. It was the man's fault for cheating. She didn't know he was married, but he knew.
and thats the reason the man will keep on cheating, cos the blame will never be on him, he gets a free pass
Double standards are sadly resilient, but at least we're more aware of them now.
Well, Bree's not exactly a weeping widower type too. She does invite men into her house. And remember it's a church lol
It won't show Bree's development
And Bree still managed to make an spectacular exit, with her head held up high like a model, even after all that drama.
Props to Karen for standing up for Bree like that
