Woo hoo 100 subs , congratulations buddy! Well done dude ! As always thanks for putting up these enjoyable videos. You got to remember,I was a kid when this stuff came out. Yup I be old dude
@@gleanerk Fancy you mentioned the 3010. That's one of the next videos. Just got done copying the filmstrip for that & the 4010 a few minutes ago. Should be a good one.
Something I noticed that was interesting was it looks like they used the same illustrator to draw these drawings as the JD children's books of back in the day.
I've operated a couple 3000's in the past & my uncle got one a few years ago. Great tractors! I'd like a 1010, but I hear they are a lemon & that's from the Deere guys. Guess if I ran across one cheap enough in decent shape, it might be worth the consideration. Regards!
@@ikonseesmrno7300 if you're talking the Ford tractors I mentioned, diesel all the way. The John Deere we have is a gasoline it's a nice running machine.
@@ikonseesmrno7300 dont let people cloud your judgement, the 2010 was the lemon, weve had 4 1010's and they are amazing tractors, diesel and gas are both reliable
Good luck with it! At least in this day & age, we know what went wrong with the 1010 initially & can remedy those issues to the best of our abilities. Enjoy your tractor!
@@pinesedgefarm1155 I'm not sure how rare they are. I did see a couple listed on Tractorhouse. JD kept close track of the production figures in terms of gas, diesel, etc, so I would imagine the numbers are out there, just not sure where to look.

Thanks for the congrats! Glad you like the videos! If you didn't buy a new Model A when you got out of highschool, you're still young yet. :vD
Nope just bought a 3010d and equipment used well from a local man in 1982 . Never owned a new tractor

Gonna be great, thanks buddy
Ikon Sees Mr No the model A , ‘53 was my second tractor purchase. it was at a local farm sale
It was the first tractor i ever drove when i was 6 years old. It was brand new.
11:41 That owl! Fantastic illustrations in these.

I haven't seen any of the old children's books. Something I'll keep an eye out for in the future.
Farmer I work for has a 1010 gas and a Ford 3000 diesel , great tractors

@@ikonseesmrno7300 I love running the 1010 but yes they are a pain in the butt for parts

Pretty neat Little tractor!
Actually wouldn't mind having a diesel version. I like the dual PTO idea & the goofy little thing is all hood. Neat looking machine.
@@ikonseesmrno7300 a diesel would be nice, I'm thinking they were pretty rare.

@@ikonseesmrno7300 For a few years in the middle 1980s I had a 1010 crawler loader with street pad tracks :) wish I still had it!
@@theda850two Sounds like a fun little crawler to operate.
Interesting where they place the 1010 numbers on some of these.
I thought that, too. Would be interesting to learn the reasoning behind it.
thank you
